CR-Selfdual Cubic Curves

open access: yesMathematics
We introduce a special class of cubic curves whose defining parameter satisfies a linear or quadratic equation provided by the values of a cross ratio. There are only seven such cubics and several properties of the real cubics in this class (some of them

Fundamental Challenges, Physical Implementations, and Integration Strategies for Ising Machines in Large‐Scale Optimization Tasks

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Ising machines are emerging as specialized hardware solvers for computationally hard optimization problems. This review examines five major platforms—digital CMOS, analog CMOS, emerging devices, coherent optics, and quantum systems—highlighting physics‐rooted advantages and shared bottlenecks in scalability and connectivity.

Elliptic-Möbius S-boxes: A hybrid algebraic construction for cryptographic applications

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal
Substitution boxes (S-boxes) are the nonlinear core of block ciphers, and their design critically impacts resistance against cryptanalytic attacks. Existing approaches either use chaotic maps, which often exhibit structural weaknesses, or elliptic curve (

Shielding at a distance due to anomalous resonance

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2017
A cylindrical plasmonic structure with a concentric core exhibits an anomalous localized resonance which results in cloaking effects. Here we show that if the structure has an eccentric core, a new kind of shielding effect can happen.

Periodically, quasiperiodically, and randomly driven conformal field theories

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2021
In this paper and its upcoming sequel, we study nonequilibrium dynamics in driven (1+1)-dimensional conformal field theories (CFTs) with periodic, quasiperiodic, and random driving.

Physics in deformable spacetime: Physical laws emerging from the surface minimality principle and the masses of particles

open access: yesResults in Physics
In this work, the study was focused on how deformable spacetime gives rise to physical laws, particularly quantum and special relativity. It was shown that both the Lorentz factor and quantum mechanics can emerge from the dynamical behavior of minimal ...

Infinite compositions of Möbius transformations [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1973
A sequence of Mobius transformations It 1_ which converges to a parabolic or elliptic transformation t, may be employed to generate a second sequence ITf} 1 by setting T = 0-. 0 The convergence behavior of I.T I is investigated and the ensuing results are shown to apply to continued n fractions which are periodic in the limit.

Biquadratic Transformations for Checking the Hurwitz Stability via the Schur Stability

open access: yesAsian Journal of Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Bilinear transformations such as the Möbius transformation have been used to study Hurwitz stability by means of Schur stability, or vice versa. However, the use of a well‐known Möbius transformation has pathological cases, hence Jalili–Kharaajoo and Araabi investigated and found a biquadratic transformation to study Schur stability by means ...
