La passion narrative dans Chanson douce de Leïla Slimani : un sujet au-delà de la rationalité [PDF]

open access: yesRevue Roumaine d’Etudes Francophones, 2023
In the novel "Chanson douce" by Leïla Slimani, the author takes a narrative path that intentionally deviates from traditional storytelling to evoke passion and defy reader expectations.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Modal Control of Vibration in Rotating Machines and Other Generally Damped Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Second order matrix equations arise in the description of real dynamical systems. Traditional modal control approaches utilise the eigenvectors of the undamped system to diagonalise the system matrices.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Operational Dynamic Load Testing for Repair Recommendations, Case Study of Access Road to Vehicle Weight in Motion

open access: yesDinamika Rekayasa
The indication of inaccuracies in vehicle weight measurement using Weight in Motion (WIM) technology on mining roads has been identified due to the non-fulfillment of the design criteria required by the WIM manufacturer.

Wilt Thou Be Lord of all the World? Modals and Persuasion in Shakespeare

open access: yesStudia Anglica Posnaniensia, 2014
Persuasion is defined as human communication designed to influence the judgements and actions of others (Simons & Jones 2011). The purpose of this research is to analyse the discourse of persuasion in Shakespeare from the perspective of historical ...

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

A comparison of modal flexibility method and modal curvature method in structural damage detection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Vibration based damage detection techniques examines the changes in dynamic properties of a structure such as frequency, mode shape and damping to indicate the presence of damage.

Modal Noise Mitigation through Fiber Agitation for Fiber-fed Radial Velocity Spectrographs

open access: yes, 2018
Optical fiber modal noise is a limiting factor for high precision spectroscopy signal-to-noise in the near-infrared and visible. Unabated, especially when using highly coherent light sources for wavelength calibration, modal noise can induce radial ...

Derivational Modal Logics with the Difference Modality [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this chapter we study modal logics of topological spaces in the combined language with the derivational modality and the difference modality. We give axiomatizations and prove completeness for the following classes: all spaces, $T_1$-spaces, dense-in-themselves spaces, a zero-dimensional dense-in-itself separable metric space, $R^n$ $(n\ge 2)$.
