Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Operational Modal Analysis of a Helicopter UAV from Flight Tests

open access: yes, 2011
The Operational Modal Analysis (OMA) could be used for the identification of the dynamics of aerospace vehicles, in terms of natural frequencies, damping ratios and mode shapes, during flight tests, using only the output responses due to the aerodynamic ...

Modal Parameter Estimation of a PVC-product Cleaning Machine by means of Operational Modal Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The prototype of a machine tool for the fine machining of PVC window casings was recently developed and tested. Preliminary tests pointed out that excessive vibrations arise during the execution of some operative motion laws, possibly affecting the ...

Combing modal particles in Dutch and German [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper is a corpus-based comparative study of modal particles in German and Dutch. We examine the special ability of Dutch and German modal particles to cluster, and demonstrate that Dutch is far more cluster-friendly than German.

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Modal Analysis of Gearbox based on the Method of ERA

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2015
Based on the method of ERA,a system of modal analysis is built, the model of HW25505 TCL gearbox is set up under the Coinv DASP MAS modal analysis module. The relating modal datum are obtained by hammering test of single-input multi- output analysis method,

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Identification of the modal masses of an UAV structure in operational environment

open access: yes, 2015
In the framework of Operational Modal Analysis, several methods have been developed to estimate the modal parameters, that is natural frequencies, damping ratios, and mode shapes of a structure in its operative conditions.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...
