Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Modal Parameter Identification and Damage Localization of Composite Helicopter Rotor Blades Based on AR/PR Identification

open access: yesInternational Journal of Aerospace Engineering
The structural characteristics and application background of helicopters determine that the primary dynamic components work in environments with high cyclic amplitude and low-stress vibration fatigue load.

Algorithms for on-line parameter and mode shape estimation [PDF]

open access: yes
Algorithms are presented for on-line parameter and mode-shape estimation. The approach used is based upon a modal decomposition of the dynamic response of the flexible structure and is designed to make use of the parallel processing features of modern ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Modal characterization of the ASCIE segmented optics testbed: New algorithms and experimental results [PDF]

open access: yes
New frequency response measurement procedures, on-line modal tuning techniques, and off-line modal identification algorithms are developed and applied to the modal identification of the Advanced Structures/Controls Integrated Experiment (ASCIE), a ...

Computational Methods for Identification of Vibrating Structures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
System identification deals with the problem of building mathematical models of dynamical systems based on observed data from the system" [1]. In the context of civil engineering, the system refers to a large scale structure such as a building, bridge ...

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

And yet another method for the identification of modal constants in experimental modal analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Modal Identification from Frequency Response Functions (FRFs) is a chapter of Experimental Modal Analysis (EMA) that many would consider being closed in a book and covered in dust.

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

Damage-imperfection indicators for the assessment of multi-leaf masonry walls under different conditions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The complexity of multi-leaf masonry walls suggests further researches on the dy- namic behaviour mainly characterized by incoherent response between the different layers.
