Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Modal parameter identification based on NEXT/ERA time-domain joint algorithm

open access: yes上海师范大学学报. 自然科学版, 2015
This paper summarizes the basic idea of NEXT algorithm and features of the system, and the basic steps of implementation. On this basis,a modal identification program is written using Matlab. The monitoring data of East China Sea bridge are selected as an ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Damage identification in a concrete beam using curvature difference ratio [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Previous studies utilising changes in mode shape or curvature to locate damage rely on the fact that the greatest change occurs around the defect. However, in concrete beams this fact is undermined due to the nature of the defect as distributed multi ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Identification of Close Modes on Frequency in Rotating Systems

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
In the area of modal balancing, it is essential to identify the vibration modes to be balanced in order to obtain the different modal parameters that will allow knowing the correction weight and its position in the balance planes. However, in some cases,

Modal parameters identification and monitoring of two arches [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2015
The paper presents the results of the modal parameters identification and of the continuous monitoring of two arches built in the new area of Expo 2015 in Milan. The activities on the arches were performed during the erection stage and they were planned as a consequence of preliminary studies performed at Politecnico di Milano wind tunnel, that ...

Characterizing the Dynamic Response of a Chassis Frame in a Heavy-Duty Dump Vehicle based on an Improved Stochastic System Identification [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This paper presents an online method for the assessment of the dynamic performance of the chassis frame in a heavy-duty dump truck based on a novel stochastic subspace identification (SSI) method. It introduces the use of an average correlation signal as

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Enhanced stabilization diagram for automated modal parameter identification based on power spectral density transmissibility functions

open access: yesStructural Control & Health Monitoring, 2019
Operational modal analysis based on power spectral density transmissibility (PSDT) functions is a useful tool to identify the modal parameters with low sensitivity to excitations.
