Perspectives of Second-Order Blind Identification for Operational Modal Analysis of Civil Structures

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2014
Innovative methods for output-only estimation of the modal properties of civil structures are based on blind source separation techniques. In the present paper attention is focused on the second-order blind identification (SOBI) algorithm and the ...

Damage detection in beams from modal and wavelet analysis using a stationary roving mass and noise estimation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
This paper uses the Continuous Wavelet Transform Analysis on mode shapes for damage identification. The wavelet analysis is applied to the difference in the mode shapes between a healthy and a damaged state.

Modal Parameter Identification from Output Data Only: Equivalent Approaches

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2015
The problem of modal parameter identification from output data only is presented. To identify the modal parameters different algorithms are presented: the block Hankel matrix and its shifted version and the block observability and block controllability ...

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Line-parameter identification of medium-voltage distribution systems based on deep deterministic policy gradients

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research
Accurate line-parameter identification is an important foundation for refined the regulation, protection, and control of distribution systems. Traditional identification models provide accurate modeling, while conventional identification approaches are ...

Intelligent parameter identification for bridge cables based on characteristic frequency equation of transverse dynamic stiffness

open access: yesJournal of Low Frequency Noise, Vibration and Active Control, 2020
Determining the cable force and other parameters of cables is important for condition assessment of cable-stayed structures. This study proposes a frequency characteristic equation of transverse dynamic stiffness for cables; this equation is suitable for

Quantification and minimization of sensor effects on modal parameters of lightweight structures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper aims to quantify the adverse effects of contact type sensors on modal parameters of lightweight structures and to present a practical way for identification of modal parameters of structures with minimal sensor effects.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.
