A computational framework to emulate the human perspective in flow cytometric data analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Background: In recent years, intense research efforts have focused on developing methods for automated flow cytometric data analysis. However, while designing such applications, little or no attention has been paid to the human perspective that is ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Modal parameters identification using asynchronous data

open access: yes, 2020
Operational Modal Analysis (OMA) allows one to identify the modal parameters (e.g., natural frequencies, damping ratios and mode shapes) of structure from its output-only response to ambient excitations. Modal parameters are often studied to provide information for Structural Health Monitoring (SHM): model updating, damage detection, damage ...

On the use of continuous wavelet analysis for modal identification [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
This paper reviews two different uses of the continuous wavelet transform for modal identification purposes. The properties of the wavelet transform, mainly energetic, allow to emphasize or filter the main information within measured signals and thus ...

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

A New Maximum Likelihood Estimator Formulated in Pole-Residue Modal Model

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
Recently, a lot of efforts have been devoted to developing more precise Modal Parameter Estimation (MPE) techniques. This is explained by the necessity in civil, mechanical and aerospace engineering of obtaining accurate estimates for the modal ...

Stochastic subspace identification of modal parameters during ice–structure interaction

open access: yesPhilosophical Transactions of the Royal Society A: Mathematical, Physical and Engineering Sciences, 2019
Identifying the modal parameters of structures located in ice-infested waters may be challenging due to the interaction between the ice and structure. In this study, both simulated data from a state-of-the-art ice–structure interaction model and measured data of ice–structure interaction were both used in conjunction with a covariance-driven stochastic

On the robustness of the average power ratios in damping estimation: application in the structural health monitoring of composites beams [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In composites structures, cracking, delamination will cause changes in the measured dynamic response of structure and so on experimentally modal parameters.

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...
