Uncertainty propagation in locally damped dynamic systems

open access: yes, 2012
In the field of stochastic structural dynamics, perturbation methods are widely used to estimate the response statistics of uncertain systems. When large built up systems are to be modelled in the mid-frequency range, perturbation methods are often ...

An Abstract Tableau Calculus for the Description Logic SHOI Using UnrestrictedBlocking and Rewriting [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This paper presents an abstract tableau calculus for the description logic SHOI. SHOI is the extension of ALC with singleton concepts, role inverse, transitive roles and role inclusion axioms.

Spatial-Temporal and Multi-Modal Collaborative Optimization Framework for RGBT Counter-Drone Tracking

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper tackles the challenges of tracking high-speed maneuvering low-altitude drones amid cross-modal heterogeneity and complex background interference by proposing STMMC, a spatial-temporal and multi-modal collaborative optimization framework for ...

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Multi-modal Contrastive Learning for Tumor-specific Missing Modality Synthesis

open access: yesCoRR
Multi-modal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is essential for providing complementary information about brain anatomy and pathology, leading to more accurate diagnoses. However, obtaining high-quality multi-modal MRI in a clinical setting is difficult due to factors such as time constraints, high costs, and patient movement artifacts.

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Signal Synthesis from the Modal Distribution Using Minimum Phase [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The Modal Distribution (MD) is a time-frequency distribution specifically designed to model the quasi-harmonic, multisinusoidal, nature of music signals and belongs to the Cohen general class of time-frequency distributions.

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

A modal method for the simulation of nonlinear dynamical systems with application to bowed musical intruments

open access: yes, 2008
Bowed instruments are among the most exciting sound sources in the musical world, mostly because of the expressivity they allow to a musician or the variety of sounds they can generate. From the physical point of view, the complex nature of the nonlinear

Application of System-level Analysis Method in Fan-driven Gearbox Test

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2021
The fan-driven gearbox is characterized by complex structure and difficult system dynamics analysis. The accuracy of the component level model is verified through the modal analysis and the percussion modal test of the gearbox component.
