Mode locked fiber laser training kit [PDF]
This paper presents kits dedicated to optical phenomena education proposed by Idil Fibres Optiques. It shows the teaching means used to guarantee students the best understanding of physical phenomena related to optical fibers. In a second part we present one of these kits : the mode-locked fiber laser.

Actuating and Sensing Composites of Liquid Crystal Elastomers and Poly(ionic liquid)s
Ionic conductive, mechanically tough, flexible, and stretchable filaments of a composite material comprising a liquid crystal elastomer and a poly(ionic liquid) are produced through 3D printing, which exhibit large actuation strain under stimulation and electrical resistance variation in response to deformation or environmental condition changes. Their

ABSTRACT Breathable membranes that reject chemical warfare agents (CWAs) are required for next‐generation protective apparel. A dual‐function graphene oxide (GO)‐polyamine architecture is introduced that addresses the long‐standing tradeoff between vapor transmission and CWA selectivity.

High-Energy Passive Mode-Locking of Fiber Lasers [PDF]
Mode-locking refers to the generation of ultrashort optical pulses in laser systems. A comprehensive study of achieving high-energy pulses in a ring cavity fiber laser that is passively mode-locked by a series of waveplates and a polarizer is presented in this paper.

Graphene mode locked fiber laser [PDF]
Fiber laser is a perfect platform to generate and study the scalar and vector optical solitons. The optical solitons formation in fiber lasers is a result of the mutual interaction among the cavity dispersion, fiber nonlinearity, laser gain saturation and gain bandwidth filtering.
