Composite Learning Control With Application to Inverted Pendulums

open access: yes, 2015
Composite adaptive control (CAC) that integrates direct and indirect adaptive control techniques can achieve smaller tracking errors and faster parameter convergence compared with direct and indirect adaptive control techniques. However, the condition of

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Adaptive Fault-Tolerant Control for Flight Systems with Input Saturation and Model Mismatch

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2013
A novel scheme for fault-tolerant control is proposed in this paper, in which model reference adaptive control method is incorporated with control allocation to cope with simultaneous actuator failures, input saturation, and model mismatch in the flight ...

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

The full-order state observer speed-sensorless vector control based on parameters identification for induction motor

open access: yesMeasurement + Control, 2019
During the operation of speed-sensorless control system for induction motor, the stator and rotor resistance varies greatly with the change of temperature and the frequency of the rotor side, which affects the estimation of the stator flux and leads to ...

Obtaining the center of gravity, inertia parameters and finite element approximation models of electromagnetic nonlinearity on 6DOF magnetic levitation system by adaptive control method

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2015
This paper provides an adaptive control method for a magnetic levitation using finite element approximation. Thanks to noncontact and frictionless, magnetic levitation can move smoothly and position precisely an object.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Control of Systems With Slow Actuators Using Time Scale Separation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This paper addresses the problem of controlling a nonlinear plant with a slow actuator using singular perturbation method. For the known plant-actuator cascaded system the proposed scheme achieves tracking of a given reference model with considerably ...

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Reactive Power based Model Reference Neural Learning Adaptive System for Speed Estimation in Sensor-less Induction Motor Drives

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering Research, 2012
In this paper, a novel reactive power based model reference neural learning adaptive system (RP-MRNLAS) is proposed. The model reference adaptive system (MRAS) based speed estimation is one of the most popular methods used for sensor-less controlled ...
