Light Dark Matter Search with Ionization Signals in XENON1T. [PDF]
We report constraints on light dark matter (DM) models using ionization signals in the XENON1T experiment. We mitigate backgrounds with strong event selections, rather than requiring a scintillation signal, leaving an effective exposure of (22±3) tonne ...

Mechanisms of parasite‐mediated disruption of brain vessels
Parasites can affect the blood vessels of the brain, often causing serious neurological problems. This review explains how different parasites interact with and disrupt these vessels, what this means for brain health, and why these processes matter. Understanding these mechanisms may help us develop better ways to prevent or treat brain infections in ...

Dark matter may form bound states in a dark sector with an attractive force between two dark matter particles. Searches for dark matter at colliders can differ dramatically from routine searches if bound states, dubbed darkonia, are produced and decay ...

Multilepton signatures from dark matter at the LHC
Leptonic signatures of Dark Matter (DM) are one of the cleanest ways to discover such a secluded form of matter at high energy colliders. We explore the full parameter space relevant to multi-lepton (2- and 3-lepton) signatures at the Large Hadron ...

Hidden Sector Dark Matter Models for the Galactic Center Gamma-Ray Excess [PDF]
The gamma-ray excess observed from the Galactic Center can be interpreted as dark matter particles annihilating into Standard Model fermions with a cross section near that expected for a thermal relic.

Extended Search for the Invisible Axion with the Axion Dark Matter Experiment. [PDF]
This Letter reports on a cavity haloscope search for dark matter axions in the Galactic halo in the mass range 2.81-3.31 μeV. This search utilizes the combination of a low-noise Josephson parametric amplifier and a large-cavity haloscope to achieve ...

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Effective field theory and scalar triplet dark matter
We discuss an extension of the standard model with a real scalar triplet, T, including non-renormalizable operators (NROs) up to d = 6. If T is odd under a Z 2 symmetry, the neutral component of T is a good candidate for the dark matter (DM) of the ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Simplified Dirac dark matter models and gamma-ray lines [PDF]
We investigate simplified dark matter models where the dark matter candidate is a Dirac fermion charged only under a new gauge symmetry. In this context one can understand dynamically the stability of the dark matter candidate and the annihilation ...
