Multi-Sensor Calibration Studies of AVHRR-Heritage Channel Radiances Using the Simultaneous Nadir Observation Approach

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2014
The European Space Agency project for studies of cloud properties in the Climate Change Initiative programme (ESA-CLOUD-CCI) aims at compiling the longest possible time series of cloud products from one single multispectral sensor—The five-channel ...

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Trajectories of exchangeable sequences: Large and moderate deviations results [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we prove large and moderate deviations for the distribution of the trajectories of a sequence of r.v.'s w.r.t. a measure which is the mixture of certain sequences of p.m.'s.

Self-normalized Cram\'{e}r type moderate deviations for martingales and applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Cram\'er's moderate deviations give a quantitative estimate for the relative error of the normal approximation and provide theoretical justifications for many estimator used in statistics.

Preoperative circulating tumor cells integrated with imaging analysis for prognostic evaluation in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Detecting circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in blood before surgery may help predict outcomes in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Here, we show when combined with tumor size and lymph node involvement from routine imaging, CTC status identifies high‐risk patients with poorer survival—offering a simple, minimally invasive tool ...

Moderate deviations for Markov chains with atom [PDF]

open access: yes
We obtain in this paper moderate deviations for functional empirical processes of general state space valued Markov chains with atom under weak conditions: a tail condition on the first time of return to the atom, and usual conditions on the class of ...

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Moderate Deviations for Mean Field Particle Models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This article is concerned with moderate deviation principles of a general class of mean eld type interacting particle models. We discuss functional moderate deviations of the occupation measures for both the strong -topology on the space of fi nite and ...
