Moderate deviations principles for self-normalized martingales [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
National audienceWe prove, for martingales self-normalized by their increasing process, the upper bound of a moderate deviations principle. Self-normalizing allows to get rid of the of exponential convergence of the previsible square variation which ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Noncentral moderate deviations for time-changed Lévy processes with inverse of stable subordinators

open access: yesModern Stochastics: Theory and Applications
This paper presents some extensions of recent noncentral moderate deviation results. In the first part, the results in [Statist. Probab. Lett. 185, Paper No. 109424, 8 pp.

Influence of dynamic geometric parameters on multi-axis machining processes

open access: yesDyna, 2020
By means of experimental, geometric and simulation models, roughness values of third and fourth order deviations are determined. The simulation environment is developed from the integration and simulated verification (ISV) in software NX 11 and the ...

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Self-Normalized Large Deviation Principle and Cramér Type Moderate Deviations for a Supercritical Branching Process

open access: yesAxioms
Let (Zn)n≥0 be a supercritical branching process with offspring distribution pr=P(Z1=r),r≥0, such that p0=p1=…=pk0−1=0 and pk0>0, where k0≥2. The Lotka–Nagaev estimator Zn+1/Zn is an important estimator for the offspring mean m=∑i=k0∞ipi.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Limit Theory for Moderate Deviations from a Unit Root under Weak Dependence [PDF]

open access: yes
An asymptotic theory is given for autoregressive time series with weakly dependent innovations and a root of the form rho_{n} = 1+c/n^{alpha}, involving moderate deviations from unity when alpha in (0,1) and c in R are constant parameters.

Large and moderate deviations for the empirical measures of an exchangeable sequence [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
Summarization: In this paper we prove large and moderate deviations results for certain sequences of mixtures of probability measures. These results give large and moderate deviations for the empirical measures of an exchangeable sequence.Παρουσιάστηκε ...

DNA methylation and expression of MAPRE3 affect overall survival of early‐stage non‐small cell lung cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.
