A polytryptophan‐modified electrode

Electroanalysis, 1993
AbstractA conducting polymer film has been formed on a Pt‐wire mesh by electrochemical oxidation of tryptophan from acidic and alkaline solutions. The electrochemical characteristics of the film have been studied both by cyclic voltammetry and impedance studies.

Chemically Modified Electrodes

2018
Abstract : We learn that the field of chemically-modified electrodes involves attaching specific molecules to the surfaces of conventional inert electrodes. We also discover the two major reasons for wanting to attach molecules to electrode surfaces.

Cofactor modified electrodes

TrAC Trends in Analytical Chemistry, 1984
Abstract Studies are underway to see if flavin adenine dinucleotide or nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide cofactors can be attached to electrode surfaces to give rapid rates of electron transfer and in some cases reconstitution of enzyme activity with appropriate apoenzymes. Such electrodes may find widespread application in analytical chemistry.

Modified titanium electrodes

2006
Titanium is a valve metal that is reported to be corrosion-resistant in acid media ; that property is attributed to the formation of a passive TiO2 film at the surface of the metal. The chemical stability and the electrochemical properties of TiO2 layers are strongly dependent on their preparation process.

Chemically modified electrodes

2005
The historical development of chemically electrodes is briefly outlined. Following recent trends, the manufacturing of modified electrodes is reviewed with emphasis on the more recent methods of electrochemical polymerization and on new ion exchanging materials. Surface derivatized electrodes are not treated in detail.

Modified electrodes for sensing

2018
All electrochemical sensing techniques are based on electrochemical processes that occur at the electrode surface. Therefore, electrode surface modification plays a crucial role in electrochemical sensor development. Popular electrode surface modification techniques include physisorption, covalent modification and homogeneous multilayer thin film ...
