A Modified Gauss-Newton Iterative Method for Nonlinear Models with Right-Censored Data

open access: yesJournal of Algorithms & Computational Technology, 2011
This paper presents Modified Gauss-Newton iteration algorithm for the nonlinear regression models for Failure Time Data set. The convergence of the iteration is proved carefully. Simulation illustrated that our method is available.

Trusses Nonlinear Problems Solution with Numerical Methods of Cubic Convergence Order

open access: yesTrends in Computational and Applied Mathematics, 2018
A large part of the numerical procedures for obtaining the equilibrium path or load-displacement curve of structural problems with nonlinear behavior is based on the Newton-Raphson iterative scheme, to which is coupled the path-following methods.

A Novel Geometric Modification to the Newton-Secant Method to Achieve Convergence of Order 1+2 and Its Dynamics

open access: yesModelling and Simulation in Engineering, 2015
A geometric modification to the Newton-Secant method to obtain the root of a nonlinear equation is described and analyzed. With the same number of evaluations, the modified method converges faster than Newton’s method and the convergence order of the new

On of solving nonlinear Noether integral-differential boundary value problems by the of Newton-Kantorovich method

open access: yesНауковий вісник Ужгородського університету. Серія: Математика і інформатика, 2018
Constructive conditions for the existence of a nonlinear Noether integral-differential boundary value problem are found. An iterative scheme with quadratic convergence is constructed to find the solution of a nonlinear integral-differential boundary ...

Inverse Kinematics Algorithm for 6-DOF Joint Robot with Offset Wrist based on Modified Newton Iteration Method

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2017
The 6- DOF joint robot with offset wrist can’t satisfy the Pieper rule, thus there are no closed- form inverse kinematics solutions for them. Compared with non- offset robot,a numerical iterative algorithm that integrates the closed- form inverse ...

Tangent modulus in numerical integration of constitutive relations and its influence on convergence of N-R method [PDF]

open access: yesApplied and Computational Mechanics, 2009
For the numerical solution of elasto-plastic problems with use of Newton-Raphson method in global equilibrium equation it is necessary to determine the tangent modulus in each integration point. To reach the parabolic convergence of Newton-Raphson method

Distributed Optimal Power Flow for Large-Scale Multi-Area Interconnected Power Systems

open access: yesCSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems
Distributed optimal power flow (OPF) of large-scale multi-area interconnected power systems is a challenging problem. This letter proposes a distributed OPF approach based on the modified decomposition-coordination interior point method (DCIPM).

A full-modified-Newton step infeasible interior-point method for monotone linear complementarity problem

open access: yesپژوهش‌های ریاضی, 2021
By using a new search direction, we propose an infeasible interior-point method for monotone linear complementarity problem. The algorithm uses only one feasibility step in each iteration, and we prove that it suffices in order to obtain a polynomial ...
