Mechanically Tunable DNA Hydrogels as Prospective Biosensing Modules

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, Volume 46, Issue 23, December 5, 2025.
Sequence‐programmable and thermally responsive DNA hydrogels enable highly sensitive mechanical biosensing through the exchange of linker strands using a toehold strand displacement mechanism. This new type of mechanical biosensor has in‐built sequence‐specificity and dose‐sensitivity, obviating the need for elaborate DNA sequencing and enabling rapid ...

Tunable Elasto‐Viscoplastic Properties of Polymer Blends for 3D Printing Applications

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, Volume 46, Issue 23, December 5, 2025.
This study explores the tunable elasto‐viscoplastic properties of Carbopol‐PEO blends for 3D printing. Using rheo‐SAXS and dimensionless analysis, it identifies optimal printability regimes and reveals how nanoscale structural relaxation governs die swelling and deposition behavior.

VCAM‐1‐Functionalized Iron Oxide Nanoclusters for Targeted MRI‐Based Diagnosis of Atherosclerosis

open access: yesMedComm – Biomaterials and Applications, Volume 4, Issue 4, December 2025.
This study explores the functionalization of iron oxide nanoclusters (NCs) as targeted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agents. Modifications preserve colloidal stability, crucial for biodistribution and preventing agglomeration, while enhancing biocompatibility and enabling VCAM1 detection on mesenchymal stem cells.

A Comparative Study of a Backward Euler and Exponential Update for a Viscoelastic Maxwell Model Within the Material Point Method

open access: yesPAMM, Volume 25, Issue 4, December 2025.
ABSTRACT The material point method (MPM) offers a distinct simulation method compared to conventional techniques such as the finite element method (FEM). In the MPM, physical bodies are represented by a collection of material points while the governing equations are solved on an independent computational mesh. Each simulation step follows a three‐stage

Development of Multifunctional Polymeric Composites With Electromagnetic Properties for 5G Technology Applications

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, Volume 65, Issue 12, Page 6836-6849, December 2025.
Preparation of Multifuctional Polymer Composites. ABSTRACT The growing demand for lightweight, flexible, and efficient materials for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding has driven the development of conductive polymer composites (CPCs) as sustainable and reliable alternatives. These materials are essential for protecting communication systems,
