Alternative proposal to modified Newtonian dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2006
From a study of conserved quantities of the so-called Modified Newtonian Dynamics (MOND) we propose an alternative to this theory. We show that this proposal is consistent with the Tully-Fisher law, has conserved quantities whose Newtonian limit are the energy and angular momentum, and can be useful to explain cosmic acceleration. The dynamics obtained

Developing Micro/Nanostructured Fluidic Mixing Technology for Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review critically evaluates how micro/nanostructured mixing technologies are redefining biomedical research. By synergizing fundamental analysis, numerical modeling, structural design, and external field manipulation, these systems attain unprecedented control over mass transport.

The Pioneer anomaly and the holographic scenario

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper we discuss the recently obtained relation between the Verlinde's holographic model and the first phenomenological Modified Newtonian dynamics.

Loss of Mass and Stability of Galaxies in Modified Newtonian Dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2007
The self-binding energy and stability of a galaxy in MOND-based gravity are curiously decreasing functions of its center-of-mass acceleration (of the order of 10-12 to 10-10 m s-2) toward neighboring mass concentrations. A tentative indication of this breaking of the strong equivalence principle in field galaxies is the RAVE-observed escape speed in ...

A new drag and lift correlation for spherocylinders from fully resolved Immersed Boundary Method

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Many industrial processes deal with non‐spherical particles, e.g., mineral mining and biomass conversion. It is crucial to understand the particles' hydrodynamics to control and optimize these processes. To extend the current state‐of‐the‐art from arrays of spherical particles to spherocylindrical particles, we performed extensive particle ...

On the relationship between MOND and DM

open access: yes, 2004
Numerous astrophysical observations have shown that classical Newtonian dynamics fails on galactic scales and beyond, if only visible matter is taken into account.

Cosmological extrapolation of modified Newtonian dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesClassical and Quantum Gravity, 2012
The regime of modified Newtonian dynamics (MOND), which is used in astronomy to describe gravitating systems of the island type without the need to postulate the existence of a hypothetical dark matter, is generalized to the case of homogeneous distribution of usual matter by introducing a linear dependence of the critical acceleration on the size of ...

Integrating Artificial Intelligence With Droplet‐Based Microfluidics: Advances, Challenges, and Emerging Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Droplet‐based microfluidics enables precise, high‐throughput microscale reactions but continues to face challenges in scalability, reproducibility, and data complexity. This review examines how artificial intelligence enhances droplet generation, detection, sorting, and adaptive control and discusses emerging opportunities for clinical and industrial ...

Electrothermally Controlled 3D‐Printed Shape Memory Polymers for Near‐Ambient Temperature Soft Robotic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
In this article, we develop bespoke resins for stereolithography 3D‐printing of soft‐robotic grippers that are controlled remotely by electrothermal stimulus near ambient temperatures. Turning on the electrical control, each finger can be actuated separately.

Theoretically Motivated Dark Electromagnetism as the Origin of Relativistic Modified Newtonian Dynamics

open access: yesUniverse
The present paper is a modest attempt to initiate the research program outlined in this abstract. We propose that general relativity and relativistic MOND (RelMOND) are analogues of broken electroweak symmetry.
