Modular Structure of the Weyl Algebra

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics, 2022
Abstract We study the modular Hamiltonian associated with a Gaussian state on the Weyl algebra. We obtain necessary/sufficient criteria for the local equivalence of Gaussian states, independently of the classical results by Araki and Yamagami, Van Daele, Holevo.

Structure of a modular polyketide synthase [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 2014
Polyketide natural products constitute a broad class of compounds with diverse structural features and biological activities. Their biosynthetic machinery, represented by type I polyketide synthases (PKSs), has an architecture in which successive modules catalyse two-carbon linear extensions and keto-group processing reactions on intermediates ...

Evaluation of the Structural Performance of a Novel Methodology for Connecting Modular Units Using Straight and Cross-Shaped Connector Plates in Modular Buildings

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
The strength capacity of modular buildings is determined by the weakest part, and connections between modular units are often weaker than the modular units themselves.

Improving the Safety of Operation of Overhead Cranes with Welded Modular Construction Based on the Analysis of Their Accidents

open access: yesБезопасность техногенных и природных систем, 2022
Introduction. The article presents an analysis of the destruction of welds that occurred during the operation of modular overhead cranes. Measures are proposed to prevent the occurrence of such defects in the future, reduce the likelihood of accidents ...

Robustness and modular structure in networks [PDF]

open access: yesNetwork Science, 2015
AbstractComplex networks have recently attracted much interest due to their prevalence in nature and our daily lives (Vespignani, 2009; Newman, 2010). A critical property of a network is its resilience to random breakdown and failure (Albert et al., 2000; Cohen et al., 2000; Callaway et al., 2000; Cohen et al., 2001), typically studied as a percolation
