Affective modulation of recognition bias.

Emotion, 2005
A correspondence of processing on the familiarity-novelty and positive-negative dimensions, particularly in the earliest processing stages, is proposed. Familiarity manipulations should, therefore, not only influence affective evaluations (e.g., the mere exposure effect), but affective manipulations should also bias familiarity judgments (e.g., in ...

Modulation features for speech recognition

IEEE International Conference on Acoustics Speech and Signal Processing, 2002
Automatic speech recognition (ASR) systems can benefit from including into their acoustic processing part new features that account for various nonlinear and time-varying phenomena during speech production. In this paper, we develop robust methods to extract novel acoustic features from speech signals of the modulation type based on time-varying models

Structural Basis of Nucleosome Recognition and Modulation

BioEssays, 2020
AbstractChromatin structure and dynamics regulate key cellular processes such as DNA replication, transcription, repair, remodeling, and gene expression, wherein different protein factors interact with the nucleosomes. In these events, DNA and RNA polymerases, chromatin remodeling enzymes and transcription factors interact with nucleosomes, either in a

MODELESS: MODulation rEcognition with LimitEd SuperviSion

2021 18th Annual IEEE International Conference on Sensing, Communication, and Networking (SECON), 2021
Modulation recognition (modrec) is an essential transmitter fingerprinting task that enables future spectrum-sharing applications such as access management and enforcement. Traditional supervised modrec requires labeled training data for all target modulations, which cannot be readily met with the advent of new, customized and data-driven waveforms ...

Communication System Recognition by Modulation Recognition

2004
Communication system recognition is major part of some civilian and military applications. The recognition of the system is done by inspecting the received signal properties like modulation type, carrier frequency, baud rate and so on. Therefore we need Automatic Modulation Recognition (AMR) methods plus carrier and baud rate estimation methods.

STC and BLAST MIMO Modulation Recognition

IEEE GLOBECOM 2007-2007 IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference, 2007
In this paper, we investigate one of the MIMO classification problem: distinguishing Space Time Coding (STC) from BLAST schemes. With STC the transmitted signals are correlated in time, while with BLAST scheme the transmitted signals do not have such correlation, that is, the signal emitted from different antenna are uncorrelated.

Application of novel architectures for Modulation Recognition

2018 IEEE Asia Pacific Conference on Circuits and Systems (APCCAS), 2018
In this paper, we investigate the latest deep learning framework for wireless modulation recognition. The deep learning method can substantially improve the recognition performance with relatively small scale network. We have incorporated the modified convolutional neural network (CNN) and Long Short-term Memory (LSTM) to further improve the ...

Combining neural networks for modulation recognition

Digital Signal Processing, 2022
Abstract This paper proposes a combined Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) scheme appropriate for automatic modulation recognition. The suggested network includes a deep network involving multiscale convolutions with an attention module for recognizing 24 modulation modes and a shallow one network for recognizing two modulation modes, aiming to ...

Recognition of Digital Modulations

1996
In modern communication systems, digital modulation techniques rather than analogue ones are frequently used. So, the new trend is the digital modulation recognisers. Most of the digital modulation recognisers discussed in Chapter 1 utilise the pattern recognition approach such as [4], and [14].
