Load Distributing Metamaterials Via Discrete Optimization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Mechanical metamaterials are computationally optimized to homogenize transmitted forces by minimizing the spread of reaction forces. The resulting architectures transform localized loading into broader, more uniform force distributions and experimentally demonstrate robust load spreading under quasi‐static and impact loading.

On the relative behaviour of moduli of smoothness [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 1991
Some general theorems concerning the relative behaviour of moduli of smoothness are established. In particular an open problem raised by Dickmeis, Nessel and van Wickeren is negated.

Reconstructing Residual‐Solvent‐Involved Li+ Coordination in PVDF‐HFP Polymer Electrolytes for Stable Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
2,2,2‐trifluoroethanamide‐mediated coordination regulation reconstructs the local Li+ environment in PVDF‐HFP polymer electrolytes by weakening residual DMF‐dominated coordination and promoting TFSI−‐involved anion‐rich solvation. This strategy facilitates Li+ migration and interfacial desolvation, promotes the formation of a thin inorganic‐rich SEI ...

Averaged Moduli of Smoothness and Runge-Kutta Methods

open access: yes, 2005
We estimate the error in an often used in practice Runge-Kutta method of 3-rd order of convergence.... The so-called averaged moduli of smoothness are used.

Moduli of sheaves, quiver moduli, and stability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The goal of this thesis is to provide a modern interpretation and an extension of the classical works of the 1970s and 1980s constructing moduli spaces of vector bundles and coherent sheaves on projective spaces by means of "linear data", that is ...

Multistage, Self‐Sensing Artificial Muscles With Coordination From Liquid Crystal Elastomer‐Graphene Composite Fibers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Inspired by skeletal muscles’ precision and endurance, CoilLCE integrates a self‐sensing liquid crystal elastomer/graphene artificial muscle with an embedded Joule‐heating copper coil, enabling closed‐loop multistage actuation with programmable intermediate states (strain accuracy of 2%), and antagonistic coordination (32% total strain). These features

Moduli Spaces of Lumps on Real Projective Space [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Harmonic maps that minimize the Dirichlet energy in their homotopy classes are known as lumps. Lump solutions on real projective space are explicitly given by rational maps subject to a certain symmetry requirement.

On the behavior of Fourier-Laplace series in L p ( σ m − 1 ) $L_{p}(\sigma ^{m-1})$ classes

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications
The recent contribution by Gogoladze and Meskhia (Proc. A. Razmadze Math. Inst. 141:29–40, 2006) presents a generalization of classical results by Bernstein, Szász, Zygmund, and others on the absolute convergence of Fourier series with coefficients ...

Microscale Patterning of Ultrahigh‐Viscosity Metallic‐Polymer Composites via Embedded Droplet Writing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A hybrid additive manufacturing platform integrates direct droplet writing of metallic composite with VAT photopolymerization to fabricate architected soft magnetic composites. This approach enables microscale patterning of high‐viscosity materials for programmable actuators, adaptive fluidic devices, and switchable adhesives, offering tunable ...

ON WIDTHS OF SOME CLASSES OF ANALYTIC FUNCTIONS IN A CIRCLE

open access: yesUral Mathematical Journal
We calculate exact values of some $n$-widths of the class \(W_{q}^{(r)}(\Phi),\) \(r\in\mathbb{Z}_{+},\) in the Banach spaces \(\mathscr{L}_{q,\gamma}\) and \(B_{q,\gamma},\) \(1\leq q\leq\infty,\) with a weight \(\gamma\).
