Degree of simultaneous approximation by Birkhoff splines
In the present note we study the degree of simultaneous approximation by certain Birkhoff spline interpolation operators. Special emphasis is on estimates in terms of higher order moduli of smoothness. This generalizes earlier results of Meir and Sharma,

Fabrication Routes for Ionic Conducting Fiber Strain Sensors
Ionic conducting fiber strain sensors (ICFSs) offer compliant, textile‐integrable sensing. Thus far, the commercialization of ICFSs has been constrained by fiber fabrication routes. This review provides a fabrication‐centric analysis of ICFSs correlating processing strategies with material properties and scalability.

Superstrata are smooth horizonless microstate geometries for the supersymmetric D1-D5-P black hole in type IIB supergravity. In the CFT, “superstratum states” are defined to be the component of the supergraviton gas that is obtained by breaking the CFT ...

SMOOTH MODULI SPACES OF ASSOCIATIVE SUBMANIFOLDS [PDF]
Let $M^7$ be a smooth manifold equipped with a $G_2$-structure $ϕ$, and $Y^3$ be an closed compact $ϕ$-associative submanifold. In \cite{McL}, R. McLean proved that the moduli space $\bm_{Y,ϕ}$ of the $ϕ$-associative deformations of $Y$ has vanishing virtual dimension.

A Novel Approach to Estimate the Transition Temperature via Dynamic Nanoindentation
A new dynamic nanoindentation‐based method was developed that uses the stiffness ratio as an indicator of the elastic–plastic deformation contributions at different temperatures. The approach successfully identified transition temperatures in ferritic steel and distinguished them from continuously ductile austenitic steel.

Ulyanov inequalities for the mixed moduli of smoothness in mixed metrics [PDF]
In this paper we prove Ulyanov-type inequalities between mixed moduli of smoothness of positive orders in different metrics.Comment: 17 ...

Cu and combined Cu–P microalloying refine the microstructure and enhance the nanoindentation‐derived fracture resistance of CoNiAlSi ferromagnetic shape memory alloys without suppressing the martensitic transformation. Comparative SEM, DSC, and nanoindentation results reveal that the CuP‐containing alloy provides the most balanced response, achieving ...
