A note on the moduli spaces of holomorphic and logarithmic connections over a compact Riemann surface [PDF]
Let $X$ be a compact Riemann surface of genus $g \geq 3$. We consider the moduli space of holomorphic connections over $X$ and the moduli space of logarithmic connections singular over a finite subset of $X$ with fixed residues. We determine the Chow group of these moduli spaces.

Understanding and measuring mechanical signals in the tumor stroma
This review discusses cancer‐associated fibroblast subtypes and their functions, particularly in relation to extracellular matrix production, as well as the development of 3D models to study tumor stroma mechanics in vitro. Several quantitative techniques to measure tissue mechanical properties are also described, to emphasize the diagnostic and ...

Q-lumps are spinning planar topological solitons with stationary solutions that satisfy first-order Bogomolny equations. Q-lump scattering has previously been studied only in the charge two sector, by approximating time evolution by motion in the moduli ...

Stem cell‐based embryo models (SCBEMs) are valuable to study early developmental milestones. Matrigel, a basement membrane matrix, is a critical substrate used in various SCBEM protocols, but its role in driving stem cell lineage commitment is not clearly defined.

Moduli spaces of toric manifolds [PDF]
We construct a distance on the moduli space of symplectic toric manifolds of dimension four. Then we study some basic topological properties of this space, in particular, path-connectedness, compactness, and completeness. The construction of the distance is related to the Duistermaat-Heckman measure and the Hausdorff metric. While the moduli space, its

Vortices, Instantons and Branes
The purpose of this paper is to describe a relationship between the moduli space of vortices and the moduli space of instantons. We study charge k vortices in U(N) Yang-Mills-Higgs theories and show that the moduli space is isomorphic to a special ...

While the number of metastable landscape vacua in string theory is vast, the number of supermoduli vacua which lead to distinct low energy physics is even larger, perhaps infinitely so. From the anthropic perspective it is therefore important to understand whether complex life is possible on moduli space -- i.e., in low energy effective theories with 1.

Using supramolecular monomers, various hydrogel culture systems were formulated to culture protoplasts; including 2D, 2.5D, and 3D hydrogels. Depending on the culture platform, bioactive functionalization led to protoplast enlargement (2D and 2.5D) or plasmolysis (3D). This work shows the potential to modularly engineer synthetic platforms for cellular

Deformation of the O'Grady moduli spaces [PDF]
In this paper we study moduli spaces of sheaves on an abelian or projective K3 surface. If $S$ is a K3, $v=2w$ is a Mukai vector on $S$, where $w$ is primitive and $w^{2}=2$, and $H$ is a $v-$generic polarization on $S$, then the moduli space $M_{v}$ of $H-$semistable sheaves on $S$ whose Mukai vector is $v$ admits a symplectic resolution $\widetilde{M}
