We propose a theory which describes the mechanical behaviour of magneto-sensitive elastomers (MSEs) under a uniform external magnetic field. We focus on the MSEs with isotropic spatial distribution of magnetic particles.

Explicit formulae for primes in arithmetic progressions, II [PDF]
We shall give an explicit version of Bombieri-Vinogradov Theorem for moduli not divisible by an exceptional modulus.

A Novel Simulation Approach for Damage Evolution during Tailored Forming
Traditional damage models are struggling to accurately and efficiently simulate large‐scale three‐dimensional models with a great number of degrees of freedoms. A new gradient‐enhanced damage model based on the extended Hamilton principle can significantly reduce the computation time while ensuring mesh‐independence which is suitable to use in tailored

Approximation properties by generalized Baskakov Kantorovich Stancu type operators [PDF]
In this paper, we introduce generalized Baskakov Kantorovich Stancu type operators and investigate direct result, local approximation and weighted approximation properties of these operators. Modulus of continuity, second modulus of continuity, Peeters K-functional, weighted modulus of continuity and Lipschitz class are considered to prove our results.

Trapped Quintessential Inflation from Flux Compactifications [PDF]
Quintessential inflation is studied using a string modulus as the inflaton - quintessence field. It is assumed that the modulus crosses an enhanced symmetry point (ESP) in field space. Particle production at the ESP temporarily traps the modulus resulting in a period of inflation.

Mechanisms of De‐icing by Surface Rayleigh and Plate Lamb Acoustic Waves
Ice accretion impacts daily life, renewable energy generation, maintenance, and security in industries and aeronautics. Acoustic waves (AW) are a promising method for ice removal, although de‐icing mechanisms require further investigation to optimize energy efficiency.

On variation functions and their moduli of continuity [PDF]
We study the moduli of continuity of functions of bounded variation and of their variation functions. It is easy to see that the modulus of continuity of a function of bounded variation is always smaller or equal to the modulus of continuity of its variation function. We show that we cannot make any reasonable conclusion on the modulus of continuity of

Bioinspired Design of Isotropic Lattices with Tunable and Controllable Anisotropy
This study introduces nested isotropic lattices, integrating architectural elements like nesting orders and orientations inspired by bioarchitectures. The design enables tunable anisotropy across nine mono‐nest and twenty multi‐nest lattices with 252 parametric variations, demonstrating transitions from shear‐ to tensile‐compression‐dominant behaviors ...

Extreme Covering Systems of the Integers [PDF]
It is proved that if the least modulus of a distinct covering system is 4, its largest modulus is at least 60; also if the least modulus is 3, the LCM of the moduli is at least 120; finally, if the least modulus is 4, the LCM of the moduli is at least 360. The constants 60, 120, and 360 can not be replaced by larger constants.

Mechanical metamaterials capable of compressive stiffness tunability, shape morphing, and post‐fabrication modularity. Herein, the 3D unit cell design is based on an assembly of bistable von Mises trusses that exhibit a switch in compressive stiffness and resting height from one stable state to the other.
