Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Quality and storage stability of gluten-free vegan carrot cake packed in modified atmospheres

open access: yesMacedonian Journal of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering
The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of different packaging gas compositions: air (AIR), 100 % N₂ (inert atmosphere, INE), and 30 % CO₂/70 % N₂ (modified atmosphere, MAP), on the quality of gluten-free vegan carrot cake stored at ...

A toy model of tropical convection with a moisture storage closure

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems, 2017
A time‐dependent, zero‐dimensional toy model is constructed to study the large‐scale variability in association with tropical moist convection. Case studies from sounding‐array observations are analyzed as a benchmark to test the model performance.

Integration of Low‐Voltage Nanoscale MoS2 Memristors on CMOS Microchips

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents the first monolithic integration of nanoscale MoS2‐based memristors into the back‐end‐of‐line of foundry‐fabricated CMOS microchips in a one‐transistor‐one‐resistor (1T1R) architecture. The MoS2‐based 1T1R cells exhibit forming‐free, nonvolatile resistive switching with ultra‐low operating voltages, low cycle‐to‐cycle variability ...

Effect of air Recirculation on Moisture Removal Efficiency in Combined Hydrolytic–Aerobic Rotary Bio-Drying Process

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
Rotary bio-drying is the process to reduce moisture from Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) by using the heat from aerobic bio-degradation. This study aimed to investigate the effects of air recirculation on moisture removal efficiency in combined hydrolytic ...

Strain‐Programmable Luminescent Adhesive Patch With Tartrazine‐Mediated Optical Skin Clearing for Photochemical Tissue Bonding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,

Moisture Susceptibility of Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA) with an Organic Wax Additive Based on X-Ray Computed Tomography (CT) Technology

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2019
The warm mix asphalt was fabricated with different moisture contents (0%, 1%, 2%, and 3%) of limestone aggregates using the Superpave gyratory compactor. The moisture susceptibility of asphalt mixtures with an organic wax additive RH was studied.

Effect of moisture content, temperature, and absolute expansion ratio on the effective moisture diffusivity of swell-dried carrots and apples

open access: yesDiscover Food
Abstract In this study, the swell-drying process of apples and carrots, which involves combining the Instant Controlled Pressure Drop (DIC) operation with airflow drying, was carried out at an airflow velocity of 5 m·s⁻¹ and at temperatures of 40, 50, and 60 °C. Under these conditions, the effective moisture diffusivity of the product

Robust Electrocaloric Performance Enabled by Highly‐Polar Frustrated Nanodomains in NaNbO3‐Based Ferrodistortive Relaxor

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
P4bm framework in NaNbO3‐Ba(Ti, Hf)O3 ferrodistortive relaxor entails short‐range and highly‐polar ferrodistortive orders. The abundant highly‐polar orders facilitate to increase entropy change, and robust octahedral oxygen tilt enables to impede thermal perturbations.
