Stains in microbiology and molecular biology
Biotechnic & Histochemistry, 2001H. J. Conn of the New York Agricultural Experiment Station was the founder and leader of the Commission on the Standardization of Biological Stains. This Commission ultimately evolved into the present Biological Stain Commission. Conn did much to determine the chemistry of stains and to promote their applications in biology.

Preanalytical Challenges of Molecular Microbiology Tests
Clinics in Laboratory MedicineAs infectious disease diagnostics increasingly incorporates molecular techniques, there are unique preanalytical concerns that must be considered. First, noninvasive specimen types that may be inadequate for culture-based diagnostics may be acceptable when using molecular tests.

MOLECULAR DIAGNOSTICS IN MICROBIOLOGY
By developing quicker and more precise methods for diagnosing infectious diseases, molecular and genomic approaches have completely transformed microbiology. Traditional techniques, such as biochemical testing and microbe culture, take much time and could miss antibiotic-resistant strains.openaire +1 more source
