Molecular Structures of Polyglutamates

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

D* K molecular structure of the Ds1(2460) meson
We discuss a possible interpretation of the Ds1(2460) meson as a hadronic molecule - a bound state of D* and K mesons. Using a phenomenological Lagrangian approach we determine the strong Ds1 to Ds* pi0 and radiative Ds1 to Ds gamma decays.

In this study, we present the structure of AcrIE8.1, a previously uncharacterized anti‐CRISPR protein that inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system. Through a combination of structural and biochemical analyses, we demonstrate that AcrIE8.1 directly binds to the Cas11 subunit of the Cascade complex to inhibit the CRISPR‐Cas system.

An intracellular transporter mitigates the CO2‐induced decline in iron content in Arabidopsis shoots
This study identifies a gene encoding a transmembrane protein, MIC, which contributes to the reduction of shoot Fe content observed in plants under elevated CO2. MIC is a putative Fe transporter localized to the Golgi and endosomal compartments. Its post‐translational regulation in roots may represent a potential target for improving plant nutrition ...

Possible Molecular Structure of the Newly Observed Y(4260)
We suggest that the newly observed resonance Y(4260) is a $\chi_{c}-\rho^0$ molecule, which is an isovector. In this picture, we can easily interpret why $Y(4260)\to \pi^+\pi^-J/\psi$ has a larger rate than $Y(4260)\to D\bar D$ which has not been ...

The IQ‐compete assay for measuring mitochondrial protein import efficiencies in living yeast cells
The efficiency of mitochondrial protein import depends on the properties of the newly synthesized precursor proteins. The Import and de‐Quenching Competition (IQ‐compete) assay is a novel method to monitor the import efficiency of different proteins by fluorescence in living yeast cells.

Hematopoietic (stem) cells—The elixir of life?
The aging of HSCs (hematopoietic stem cells) and the blood system leads to the decline of other organs. Rejuvenating aged HSCs improves the function of the blood system, slowing the aging of the heart, kidney, brain, and liver, and the occurrence of age‐related diseases.
