TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.

Hyperosmotic stress triggers the relocation of the CFIm complex from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. This shift creates a nuclear ‘stoichiometric bottleneck’, limiting CFIm availability for mRNA processing. Consequently, specific mRNAs like NUDT21 and DICER1 undergo targeted 3′UTR shortening, demonstrating how spatial protein dynamics drive rapid ...

Molecular Techniques in Hematopathology
Molecular techniques have already earned a place in the management of hematologic disorders. The requests of clinical hematologists to Pathology include, besides the diagnosis, any additional information useful for prognosis and therapeutic choices, as well as expertise and technologies to follow-up patients.

Molecular techniques in cytopathology practice
In the last decade, new molecular techniques were introduced into pathology laboratories. Cytology also benefited from the innovations emerging from this new era. Molecular cytopathology (MCP) can be defined as molecular studies applied on all types of cytological specimens, namely gynaecology cytology, exfoliative non- gynaecology cytology and fine ...

Molecular Pathology Techniques
Clinics in Laboratory Medicine, 2013Molecular pathology techniques have matured considerably over the last decade. New technologies have provided increased sensitivity for improved diagnostic capacity. Furthermore, novel methodologies have matured to interrogate nucleic acid and protein signatures effectively to aid in elucidating the pathophysiology of disease in addition to diagnosis ...

Sampling of molecular conformations by molecular dynamics techniques
Molecular Physics, 1993In this paper we compare two different sampling methods for probing the distribution of conformations of a flexible molecule. The first method makes use of a form of umbrella sampling which effectively enhances the crossing of energy barriers. The second method, the so-called blue moon ensemble, is based on the use of an holonomic constraint which ...

Visualization techniques for molecular dynamics
IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications, 1995Electron and X-ray diffractometry visualize atoms in severely stressed single-crystal silicon and help analyze the resulting phase transformations. Massively parallel computers simulate both diffraction techniques. We study these phase transitions with a number of simulation techniques.
