Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Effect of Molecular Weight and Molecular Distribution on Skin Structure and Shear Strength Distribution near the Surface of Thin-Wall Injection Molded Polypropylene

open access: yes, 2020
In this study, the relationship between skin structure and shear strength distribution of thin-wall injection molded polypropylene (PP) molded at different molecular weight and molecular distribution was investigated. Skin-core structure, cross-sectional

Absolute Molecular Weight and Molecular Weight Distribution of Guar by Size Exclusion Chromatography and Low-angle Laser Light Scattering

open access: yes, 1984
A procedure to determine the absolute weight-average molecular weight (Mw) and molecular weight distribution (MWD) of guar by aqueous size exclusion chromatography coupled with low angle laser scattering is described.

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Weakening the nuclear envelope: Lamin B receptor in melanoma metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
LBR‐driven nuclear fragility supports melanoma invasion. A: Melanocyte presents low LBR (Lamin B Receptor) levels, maintaining nuclear integrity and lamina‐chromatin tethering. B: During malignant progression, upregulation of LBR clusters at the INM (Inner Nuclear Membrane) during confined migration causes local lamina weakening and cholesterol ...

Effect of Polymerization Time and Pressure on the Molecular Weight and Molecular Weight Distribution of Polyethylene

open access: yes, 2017
Molecular weight and molecular weight distribution (MWD) of polyethylenes (PE) are important in determining their physical, mechanical, and rheological properties of end-products.

Obtention and Characterisation of Antioxidant-Rich Peptides from Defatted Grape Seed Meal Using Different Enzymes

open access: yesFoods
Defatted grape seed meal (DGSM) is a residue obtained from grape pomace and is an important source of protein. The aim of this study was to select peptides with optimal antioxidant and colour properties, obtained using enzymes of different origins and ...
