An ion-imprinted polymer for the selective extraction of mercury(II) ions in aqueous media [PDF]
A double-imprinted polymer exhibiting high sensitivity for mercury(II) in aqueous solution is presented. Polymer particles imprinted with mercury(II) were synthesised by copolymerising the functional and cross-linking monomers, N’–[3– (Trimethoxysilyl ...

Enhancing Small Molecule Sensing With Aptameric Functionalized Nano Devices
Unveiling an ultra‐sensitive, non‐invasive neurotransmitter sensor. For the first time, a nanoscale sensor for detecting an important neurotransmitter was demonstrated using micro‐electromechanical systems (MEMS) technology. Our approach utilized field‐effect transistor (FET)‐based readout to enable pico‐molar detection of biomarkers in sweat.

Molecularly imprinted conductive polymers for controlled trafficking of neurotransmitters at solid–liquid interfaces [PDF]
We realize a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) which is imprinted with the retinal neurotransmitter glutamate. The films prepared by electrochemical deposition have a smooth surface with a granular morphology as observed using an atomic force ...

Microproteins are hidden treasures encoded by the “dark proteome” but remain largely underexplored due to the lack of highly efficient tools. We developed a molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs)‐based toolbox (CLAIMID) to achieve accelerated and ultrasensitive microproteins validation at multiple biological scales (single living cells, cell populations,

Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIPs)
MIPs, which stand for molecularly imprinted polymers, are biomimetic materials that have attracted much interest in various sectors, including healthcare. Antibodies and receptors are examples of physiologic recognition units that can be imitated by MIPs, which provides a fruitful platform for applications in biomedicine.
