Two-dimensional molybdenum trioxide nanoflakes wrapped with interlayer-expanded molybdenum disulfide nanosheets: Superior performances in supercapacitive energy storage and visible-light-driven photocatalysis

International journal of hydrogen energy, 2021
Two-dimensional layered molybdenum disulfide and molybdenum trioxide (α-MoO3) have fascinating potential for complementary energy storage and conversion applications due to their high surface area and multiple oxidation states of Mo.

Molybdenum Trioxide Quantum Dot-Encapsulated Nanogels for Virus Detection by Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering on a 2D Substrate.

ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, 2021
The use of nanogels (NGs) to modulate surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) activities is introduced as an innovative strategy to address certain critical issues with SERS-based immunoassays. This includes the chemical deformation of SERS nanotags, as

Oriented films of molybdenum trioxide

Thin Solid Films, 1990
Thin films of orthorhombic (α phase) MoO3 on glass have been prepared using a suspension of monomolecular layers of MoS2 in water. First, oriented films of MoS2 are spread from a water-organic interface where the monomolecular layers are collected, and then they are thermally oxidized in an oxygen atmosphere at 470°C.

Thermal reduction of molybdenum trioxide

The Journal of Physical Chemistry, 1992
X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and laser Raman spectroscopy (LRS) have been used to examine the thermal reduction products of thin-film molybdenum trioxide under flowing hydrogen or nitrogen gases. Some of the LRS measurements were made in situ during the reduction reaction using a custom quartz cell reactor.

Nonstoichiometric Molybdenum Trioxide Adjustable Energy Barrier Enabling Ultralong-Life All-Solid-State Lithium Batteries.

ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, 2021
The performance of lithium batteries is largely dependent on the ionic conductivity within robust solid electrolytes. Poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO)-based electrolytes, however, have a low lithium ionic conductivity, which limits the hop of Li+.

Near-Infrared Regulated Nanozymatic/Photothermal/Photodynamic Triple-Therapy for Combating Multidrug-Resistant Bacterial Infections via Oxygen-Vacancy Molybdenum Trioxide Nanodots.

Small, 2020
Bacterial infections have become a major danger to public health because of the appearance of the antibiotic resistance. The synergistic combination of multiple therapies should be more effective compared with the respective one alone, but has been ...

Molybdenum trioxide (MoO3)/silicon photodiodes

Applied Physics Letters, 1979
Molybdenum trioxide (MoO3) has been deposited onto single-crystal p-type silicon by neutralized ion-beam sputter techniques. The results indicate that the diode behavior is a function of oxygen partial pressure during the reactive sputtering. Film thickness, deposition rate, index of refraction, resistivity, and integrated transmission have been ...

Infrared and Raman spectra of MoO3 molybdenum trioxides and MoO3 · xH2O molybdenum trioxide hydrates

Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 1995
Abstract The infrared and Raman spectra of powder samples of MoO3 (orthorhombic and monoclinic) and of MoO 3 · x H 2 O (x = 1 3 , 1 2 , 1 and 2) have been recorded and the most characteristic frequencies are discussed with reference to the available structural data and to previous vibrational assignments.

Molybdenum trioxide nanostructures prepared by thermal oxidization of molybdenum

Journal of Crystal Growth, 2006
Abstract Molybdenum trioxide (MoO3) nanobelts and microballs were prepared by oxidization of molybdenum metal in an ambient atmosphere. Their lattice structures and morphologies were carefully studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM).
