Elucidation of Molybdenum Trioxide Sulfurization: Mechanistic Insights into Two-Dimensional Molybdenum Disulfide Growth.

Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2021
Powder vaporization is a common method for the generation of large-area, single-crystal, two-dimensional molybdenum disulfide. While commonly employed as a growth method, the fundamental molecular mechanisms are not well understood.

Nano molybdenum trioxide-mediated enhancement of soybean yield through improvement of rhizosphere soil molybdenum bioavailability for nitrogen-fixing microbial recruitment.

Science of the Total Environment
Molybdenum (Mo) plays a pivotal role in the growth and nitrogen-fixing process of plants mediated by rhizobia. However, the influence of nano‑molybdenum trioxide (MoO3NPs) on soybean growth, rhizosphere bioavailable Mo, and nitrogen-fixing microorganisms

Two‐Dimensional Molybdenum Trioxide and Dichalcogenides

Advanced Functional Materials, 2013
AbstractIn the quest to discover the properties of planar semiconductors, two‐dimensional molybdenum trioxide and dichalcogenides have recently attracted a large amount of interest. This family, which includes molybdenum trioxide (MoO3), disulphide (MoS2), diselenide (MoSe2) and ditelluride (MoTe2), possesses many unique properties that make its ...

Properties of Molybdenum Trioxide Thin Films

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1985
This paper presents a study of the electrical and electromechanical properties of MoO3 thin films deposited onto metal-coated substrates. Rectifing effects are observed in the metal-MoO3-metal structures. Remarkable voltage responses to mechanical stress applied to the MoO3 film are also observed.

Role of molybdenum trioxide in enhancing the humidity sensing performance of magnesium ferrite/molybdenum trioxide composite

Inorganic Chemistry Communications, 2018
Abstract In the present work, we prepared magnesium ferrite/molybdenum trioxide (MFMO) nanocomposite using mechano chemical mixing method for humidity sensor at room temperature. Enhancement in active sites for water adsorption in the composite due to the presence of MoO3 confirmed from X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies.

Preparation of polypyrrole modified molybdenum trioxide nanorod and their applications in supercapacitors

Materials technology (New York, N.Y.), 2021
Herein, we present the synthesis of PPy@MoO3 nanocomposites through a novel situ polymerisation growth. The introduction of polypyrrole (PPy) not only greatly improved the electrical conductivity of the material but also significantly improved the ...

Crystallographic shear in molybdenum trioxide

Proceedings of the Royal Society of London. A. Mathematical and Physical Sciences, 1969
Thin specimens of molybdenum trioxide, after heating in the electron microscope, develop planar defects on {120} planes. The two beam theory of electron diffraction including absorption is used to interpret these defects as planes of discontinuity where neighbouring slabs of MoO 3 type structure are displaced ...

Molybdenum Trioxide Nanocubes Aligned on a Graphene Oxide Substrate for the Detection of Norovirus by Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering.

ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, 2020
A novel biosensing system based on graphene-mediated surface-enhanced Raman scattering (G-SERS) using plasmonic/magnetic molybdenum trioxide nanocubes (mag-MoO3 NCs) has been designed to detect norovirus (NoV) via a dual SERS nanotag/substrate platform ...
