In-vitro toxicity of molybdenum trioxide nanoparticles on human keratinocytes.

Toxicology, 2020
Molybdenum trioxide (MoO3) nanoparticles (NPs) embedded in polymer films have been proposed as a cheap way of producing antibacterial coatings on external surfaces. Recently, we synthesized MoO3 nanowires in a unique shape and degree of anisotropy, which

Growth and characterization of molybdenum trioxide films

Journal of Materials Science Letters, 1995
Thin films of molybdenum trioxide find wide applications in electronic display systems [1] and solid state microbatteries [2, 3]. The significance of the material arises rnainly due to its photochromism [4], electrochromic properties [5] and unique layered structure [6].

Topotactic dehydration of molybdenum trioxide-hydrates

Journal of Solid State Chemistry, 1972
Abstract It is shown that thermal dehydration of molybdenum trioxide-dihydrate proceeds in two steps, both of which are strongly topotactic. The topotactic relations have been established and been used to propose a structure model for the intermediate product, molybdenum trioxide-monohydrate, the unit cell of which has been determined.

In-situ preparation of molybdenum trioxide-silver composites for the improved photothermal catalytic performance of cyclohexane oxidation.

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2020
The selective catalytic oxidation of cyclohexane has important theoretical and practical application value. However, high conversion rate and high selectivity are difficult to achieve simultaneously by conventional catalytic system.

Preparation of Porous Chromia-Pillared Molybdenum Trioxide

Chemistry Letters, 2000
Abstract A chromia-pillared layered molybdenum trioxide has been prepared by combining a Cr(Oac)3 aqueous solution with a suspension of the molybdenum bronze for the first time; the resulting material after calcination at 350 °C is porous with a surface area of 82 m2 g−1.

Preparation and structure of hexagonal molybdenum trioxide

Journal of Solid State Chemistry, 1987
Abstract The phase widely known as “hexagonal MoO 3 ” is shown to correspond to the partially dehydrated and de-ammoniated ammonium decamolybdate. The latter material has the ideal stoichiometry NH 4 Mo 5 O 15 OH·2H 2 O. Relationships between a variety of materials with the decamolybdate structure are discussed. A novel preparative route to ammonium

Electrical conduction in molybdenum trioxide single crystal

Solid State Communications, 1991
Abstract Electrical conductivity, thermoelectric power and dielectric constant of molybdenum trioxide single crystal have been studied in the temperature range 300–1000 K. Intrinsic conduction occurs at T ∼ 650 K and activation energies below and above 650 K are 0.05 and 1.75 eV respectively.

Green photoluminescence from erbium-doped molybdenum trioxide

Materials Letters, 2014
Er-doped MoO3 materials were prepared by a facile method. The X-ray diffraction and Raman results show that the MoO3 phase belongs to the orthorhombic phase and the Er ions have been successfully doped into the lattice space of MoO3. The near band edge emission and defect-related emissions from MoO3 and the intense sharp characteristic emission lines ...

Enhanced photochromism in nanostructured molybdenum trioxide films

Applied Physics Letters, 2009
We present evidence of enhancement of photochromism in nanostructured thin films of molybdenum oxide fabricated by glancing angle deposition. The strong correlation of coloration response with the internal surface area of the films provides evidence of the importance of nanostructuring on the photochromic effect and the vital role played by the ...
