Moments of orthogonal polynomials and exponential generating functions
Starting from the moment sequences of classical orthogonal polynomials we derive the orthogonality purely algebraically. We consider also the moments of ($q=1$) classical orthogonal polynomials, and study those cases in which the exponential generating function has a nice form.

ABSTRACT Background Children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) are at risk of severe outcomes from SARS‐CoV‐2 (SCV2). In the post‐pandemic context, where most children have been infected with SCV2, there are limited data on whether vaccination remains beneficial in children with ALL.

Right Truncated Shankar Distribution and its Properties
Since the importance of truncated distributions has increased in many scientific fields in recent years and they provide valuable insights when dealing with censored or truncated data, this paper presents the Right Truncated Shanker Distribution ...

ABSTRACT Background An internal tandem duplication in the gene encoding Fms‐like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3‐ITD) is associated with high relapse risk and poor prognosis in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and plays a crucial role in treatment decisions. Measurable residual disease (MRD) analysis of FLT3‐ITD during and after treatment has shown prognostic ...

A J-function for inhomogeneous spatio-temporal point processes [PDF]
We propose a new summary statistic for inhomogeneous intensity-reweighted moment stationary spatio-temporal point processes. The statistic is defined through the n-point correlation functions of the point process and it generalises the J-function when ...

Dobinski-type relations: Some properties and physical applications
We introduce a generalization of the Dobinski relation through which we define a family of Bell-type numbers and polynomials. For all these sequences we find the weight function of the moment problem and give their generating functions.

ABSTRACT Immune effector cell‐associated hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis‐like syndrome (IEC‐HS) is a life‐threatening hyperinflammatory toxicity distinct from cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and neurotoxicity following chimeric antigen receptor T‐cell (CAR‐T) therapy. In a single‐institution retrospective cohort of pediatric and young adult patients

A flexible generalized XLindley distribution with application to engineering
This paper presents a novel three-parameter distribution called the exponentiated generalized XLindley distribution. The distribution’s probability density function can be positively or negatively skewed, reverse-J or symmetric.

In this article, we propose a Gompertz-two-parameter-Lindley distribution by mixing the frailty parameter of the Gompertz distribution with a two-parameter Lindley distribution. The structural properties of the model, such as shape properties, cumulative

Moments by Integrating the Moment-Generating Function
We introduce a novel method for obtaining a wide variety of moments of any random variable with a well-defined moment-generating function (MGF). We derive new expressions for fractional moments and fractional absolute moments, both central and non-central moments.
