The Influence of Longitudinal Force on the Internal Force Distribution and Deformation Coordination Mechanism for Segment Lining

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2021
A series of local prototype tests are conducted on the Sutong GIL (Gas-Insulated Line) and Shiziyang Tunnel. These tests investigate the redistribution law of segment deformation and the bending moment during construction.

Mutant NPM1 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Initiation and Maintenance

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
NPM1 mutations drive acute myeloid leukemia by acting as neomorphic transcriptional regulators that cooperate with Menin–MLL and XPO1 to sustain HOX/MEIS1 expression and block differentiation. Targeting these mutant‐specific transcriptional dependencies provides a rational therapeutic strategy for NPM1‐mutated AML.

Determination of the Stress Increase of the Unbonded Tendon in a Continuous Concrete Beam at Ultimate Capacity Using Nonlinear Analysis

open access: yesNordic Concrete Research, 2021
Predicting the stress increase of an unbonded tendon in a post-tensioned continuous concrete beam at ultimate capacity is more difficult than when bonded tendons are used.

A new resistance function for two rigid spheres in a uniform compressible low-Reynolds-number flow [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The pressure moment of a rigid particle is defined as the trace of the first moment of the surface stress acting on the particle. We calculate the pressure moments of two unequal rigid spheres immersed in a uniform compressible linear flow, using twin ...

Structure–Function Decoupling of the Sensorimotor and Default Mode Networks in Black Americans With MS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Multiple sclerosis (MS) exhibits racially disparate rates of disease progression. Black people with MS (B‐PwMS) experience a more severe disease course than non‐Hispanic White people with MS (NHW‐PwMS). Here we investigated structural and functional connectivity as well as structure–function decoupling in the ...

A plastic load criterion for inelastic design by analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The allowable plastic load in pressure vessel design by analysis is determined by applying a graphical construction to a characteristic load-deformation plot of the collapse behavior of the vessel.

Clinical Validation of Plasma p‐217tau in Neurological Diseases

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Plasma p‐217tau is a minimally invasive but specific biomarker for diagnosing Alzheimer's disease (AD). However, its disease specificity remains to be clinically evaluated. We validated the reliability of the p‐217tau biomarker in 12 other neurological diseases.

Experimental Study on Deformation and Load Transfer Mechanisms of Symmetrical Batter Piles under Vertical Loading

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Under the action of vertical loading, batter piles rarely appear individually, as they undergo horizontal and vertical displacements at the same time and produce a sizeable additional bending moment.

Assessment of the effectiveness of NSM-CFRP flexural strengthening configuration for continuous RC slabs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The experimental programs for the flexural strengthening of reinforced concrete (RC) structures using the Near Surface Mounted (NSM) technique with Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) laminates were, in general, conducted with simply supported beams ...

Role of OH-stretch/torsion coupling and quantum yield effects in the first OH overtone spectrum of cis-cis HOONO [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
A joint theoretical and experimental investigation is undertaken to study the effects of OH-stretch/HOON torsion coupling and of quantum yield on the previously reported first overtone action spectrum of cis-cis HOONO (peroxynitrous acid).
