The scattering of LyA radiation in the intergalactic medium: numerical methods and solutions
Two methods are developed for solving the steady-state spherically symmetric radiative transfer equation for resonance line radiation emitted by a point source in the Intergalactic Medium. One method is based on solving the ray and moment equations using

A small angle neutron scattering and Mössbauer spectrometry study of magnetic structures in nanocrystalline Ni3Fe [PDF]
Results are reported from small angle neutron scattering and Mössbauer spectrometry measurements on nanocrystalline Ni3Fe. The nanocrystalline materials were prepared by mechanical attrition and studied in the as-milled state, after annealing at 265 °C ...

This study examines how several molten high‐silicon electrical steels interact with both conventional and recycled MgO–C refractories. For this, various immersion experiments are conducted. In addition to infiltration, a number of mechanisms are identified and explained that control the corrosion of the refractory material.

Influence of Cracking on Effects of Restrained Deformations in a Post-tensioned Concrete Bridge
Imposed and restrained deformations cause stresses in continuous concrete bridges, and in analyses of the superstructure these stresses are usually reduced to some degree due to creep and cracking of concrete.

Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

Charge Transfer in Partition Theory
The recently proposed Partition Theory (PT) [J.Phys.Chem.A 111, 2229 (2007)] is illustrated on a simple one-dimensional model of a heteronuclear diatomic molecule. It is shown that a sharp definition for the charge of molecular fragments emerges from PT,

Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

First principles on bcc and fcc phases structure of Fe52T2 (T=Cr,Mn,Co,Ni) alloys
The lattice parameter, local magnetic moment and the relative stability of ferromagnetic bcc and antiferromagnetic fcc phases structure of Fe52T2(T=Cr,Mn,Co,Ni) alloys were studied by first principles method based on density functional theory.
