ABSTRACT Chitosan, a polysaccharide upcycled from biowaste, has long promised sustainable, biocompatible, and antimicrobial films and devices, an appeal reinforced by its recent regulatory recognition, with several chitosan‐based antibacterial dressings gaining clearance through the Food and Drug Administration's 510(k) pathway.

Evolution of the Angular Momentum of Molecular Cloud Cores Formed from Filament Fragmentation
The angular momentum of molecular cloud cores plays an important role in the process of star formation. However, the time evolution of the angular momentum of molecular cloud cores is still unclear. In this paper, we perform three-dimensional simulations

Glissile Interphase Boundaries Enable Collective Phase Switching in Epitaxial Polar Oxides
A triple point is identified in the phase diagram of low‐symmetry epitaxial BiFeO3 thin film along with an extended regime of phase competition associated with a flattened energy landscape. The electromechanical response is shown to be governed by correlated interphase‐boundary motion, including scale‐free avalanche dynamics characteristic of systems ...

Firm characteristics that drive the momentum pattern in the UK stock market [PDF]
Previous studies have estimated the company characteristics of previous winners and losers to explore the momentum effect. Using UK data, this study focuses on the characteristics of companies that actually generate the momentum pattern.

Energy-momentum tensor from Wilson flow in lattice φ4-theory [PDF]
The energy-momentum tensor (EMT) is the Noether current associated with translations. It is of interest because, first of all, it has physical meaning as it contains the energy density and the momentum density.

Gauge invariant Noether’s theorem and the proton spin crisis
Due to proton spin crisis it is necessary to understand the gauge invariant definition of the spin and orbital angular momentum of the quark and gluon from first principle.

In large-momentum effective theory (LaMET), the transverse-momentum-dependent (TMD) light-front wave functions and soft functions can be extracted from the simulation of a four-quark form factor and equal-time correlation functions.

Exchange‐Coupled Two‐Dimensional MOFs
Graphene mediates ferromagnetic coupling between two‐dimensional metal‐organic frameworks and cobalt. Fe‐tetracyanobenzene develops a remanent magnetic response whose orientation follows the cobalt magnetization direction and persists up to room temperature, whereas Ni‐TCNB remains only field‐polarized.

Lorentz invariant field theory on κ-Minkowski space [PDF]
It is by now well established that the momentum space associated with the non-commutative κ-Minkowski space is a submanifold of de Sitter space. It has been noted recently that field theories built on such momentum space suffer from a subtle form of ...

Power loss mechanisms and optimal induction factors for large offshore wind farms
Power loss mechanisms in large wind farms are complex due to the multiscale nature of wind farm aerodynamics. Recent studies based on ‘two-scale momentum theory’ have brought new insights into this field; however, most of them have been limited to ...
