An equivalence between momentum and charge in string theory [PDF]
It is shown that for a translationally invariant solution to string theory, spacetime duality interchanges the momentum in the symmetry direction and the axion charge per unit length. As one application, we show explicitly that charged black strings are equivalent to boosted (uncharged) black strings. The extremal black strings (which correspond to the

High‐Efficiency Deep Blue Single‐Gaussian Europium(II) Emitters and Their Emitter‐Host Interactions
Crown‐ether ligands and carborate anions enable vacuum‐processable Eu(II) emitters with efficient single‐Gaussian deep‐blue luminescence. Combined photophysical and computational analyses reveal that excited‐electron confinement and steric shielding of the europium center jointly govern compatibility with OLED host materials, establishing molecular ...

Does Financial Distress Risk Drive the Momentum Anomaly? [PDF]
"This paper brings together the evidence on two asset pricing anomalies-continuation of prior returns (momentum) and the market mispricing of distressed firms-using UK data.

Hafnium zirconium oxide thin films are grown using plasma‐enhanced atomic layer deposition with the addition of an atomic layer annealing (ALA) step. ALA leads to a change in the short‐range structure of the deposit and encourages formation of the ferroelectric Pca21 phase. The result is wake‐up‐free performance with films exposed to ALA.

Time-series and cross-sectional momentum investment strategies: International evidence [PDF]
Numerous studies have found that profits that can be realised from following a momentum-based investment strategy of buying recent outperforming stocks (winners) and selling recent underperforming stocks (losers) (Jegadeesh & Titman, 1993, 2001 ...

Anatomy of a deformed symmetry: field quantization on curved momentum space [PDF]
In certain scenarios of deformed relativistic symmetries relevant for non-commutative field theories particles exhibit a momentum space described by a non-abelian group manifold.

Quasi-normal modes of holographic system with Weyl correction and momentum dissipation
We study the charge response in complex frequency plane and the quasi-normal modes (QNMs) of the boundary quantum field theory with momentum dissipation dual to a probe generalized Maxwell system with Weyl correction.

Covalent Functionalization of 2D Semiconductors: A Roadmap to Advanced Electronic Devices
This Review presents recent advances in the covalent functionalization strategies for two‐dimensional semiconductors and their implementation in modern technologies. Layered materials are modified through diverse molecular chemistries (e.g., thiols, diazonium salts, alkyl halides, and electron‐deficient species) to tailor their surface properties ...

Large-uncertainty intelligent states for angular momentum and angle [PDF]
The equality in the uncertainty principle for linear momentum and position is obtained for states which also minimize the uncertainty product. However, in the uncertainty relation for angular momentum and angular position both sides of the inequality are

Vortex dynamics and dynamic fluid forces by a flapping butterfly wing
An elastic moving airfoil is superior to a rigid moving airfoil because the deformation of its shape enables it to generate a larger fluid force. Membrane airfoils, such as butterfly wings, perform well even in low Reynolds number flows and have thus ...
