Biological and biochemical studies on the ‘basic’ isoenzyme of endo-polygalacturonase secreted by Monilinia fructigena

Mycological Research, 1997
Monilinia fructigena secretes one molecular form of endo-polygalacturonase (PG) in apple fruits infected by it. This PG, purified from culture filtrate to homogeneity, had an Mr of ca 33 000 (SDS electrophoresis) and a pI value of ca 9.75. It had little or no effect on the structural integrity of potato tuber tissues, nor on the viability of apple ...

The spread of apple brown rot (Monilinia fructigena) by insects

Annals of Applied Biology, 1989
SummaryField and laboratory experiments were carried out to compare the spread of apple brown rot (Monilinia fructigena) by free aerial transmission of conidia, with insect spread of the pathogen. Significantly more brown rot developed on injured apples which had been visited by insects than on unvisited ones.

Factors affecting mummification and sporulation of pome fruit infected by Monilinia fructigena in Dutch orchards

Plant Pathology, 2002
A 2‐year field experiment (1997–98, 1998–99) was conducted to study mummification and subsequent sporulation in spring of apple (cvs James Grieve, Golden Delicious) and pear (cv . Conference) fruits infected by Monilinia fructigena .

Epidemiology of brown rot ( Monilinia fructigena ) on apple: infection of fruits by conidia

Plant Pathology, 2000
Effects of fruit maturity, wound age, temperature and the duration of wetness periods on infection of apple fruits by conidia of the brown rot fungus, Monilinia fructigena , were studied.

Patogenost Monilinia laxa i Monilinia fructigena za jabuke

2013

Antifungal Activity and Mechanistic Insights of 1-O-Alkylglycerols against Monilinia fructigena

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry
Peach brown rot, caused by Monilinia fructigena (M. fructigena), is a destructive disease that affects peaches during pre- and postharvest stages. In this study, two 1-O-alkylglycerols (AKGs), namely, AKG-2 (1-O-dodecylglycerol) and AKG-4 (3-(2-ethylhexyloxy)propane-1,2-diol), demonstrated significant in vitro antifungal activity against M. fructigena,

Patogenost Monilinia fructigena za jabuku i krušku

2014
