Monoclonal B cell lymphocytosis: Clinical and population perspectives

open access: yes, 2010
Monoclonal B Cell Lymphocytosis (MBL) refers to clones of CLL-like cells that exhibit CLL characteristics that fall short of the numbers required for CLL diagnosis.

Clinical management of clonal hematopoiesis

open access: yesCancer, Volume 132, Issue 18, 15 September 2026.
ABSTRACT Clonal hematopoiesis, particularly clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential and clonal cytopenia of undetermined significance, is an age‐related premalignant condition characterized by the expansion of hematopoietic clones carrying somatic mutations.

Polyclonal B-cell lymphocytosis: a rare, benign condition that mimics a chronic lymphoproliferative disorder

open access: yesHematology
Objectives We report a case of Persistent polyclonal B-cell lymphocytosis (PPBL), a rare and benign lymphoproliferative disorder, to highlight the importance of recognising its characteristic features in order to avoid unnecessary investigations and ...

Tumor mutational load predicts time to first treatment in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and monoclonal B-cell lymphocytosis beyond the CLL international prognostic index

open access: yesAmerican journal of hematology/oncology, 2020
Next‐generation sequencing identified about 60 genes recurrently mutated in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). We examined the additive prognostic value of the total number of recurrently mutated CLL genes (i.e., tumor mutational load [TML]) or the ...

New Insights Into Immunomodulatory Strategies for Drug Hypersensitivity Reactions: An EAACI Task Force Report

open access: yesClinical and Translational Allergy, Volume 16, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Drug hypersensitivity reactions (DHRs) are a global health concern and remain challenging to investigate owing to the heterogeneity of endotypes and phenotypes, as well as the lack of standardized biomarkers. Until recently, strict drug avoidance was the only management strategy for severe DHRs.

Acute and Chronic Leukemia in Sub‐Saharan Africa: A Systematic Review

open access: yesCancer Reports, Volume 9, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background The four primary subgroups of leukemia include chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), acute myeloid leukemia (AML), acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Very little is known about the regional variation of leukemia and subtypes in sub‐Saharan Africa (SSA).

Reassessment of small lymphocytic lymphoma in the era of monoclonal B-cell lymphocytosis

open access: yesHaematologica, 2011
Background In the 2008 World Health Organization classification, small lymphocytic lymphoma is defined as a neoplasm with the tissue morphology and immunophenotype of chronic lymphocytic leukemia, but with absence of leukemia.

Pulmonary Sarcoidosis Mimicking Eosinophilic Bronchiolitis Diagnosed by Cutibacterium Acnes Positivity

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
Pulmonary sarcoidosis may closely mimic eosinophilic bronchiolitis in patients with established bronchial asthma. Surgical lung biopsy revealed well‐formed non‐caseating granulomas with concomitant eosinophilic bronchiolitis, and Cutibacterium acnes immunostaining supported the diagnosis of pulmonary sarcoidosis.
