Angstrom‐Scale Confined Ion Sieve and Accelerator for Efficient Aqueous Zinc Batteries
An angstrom‐scale confined ion accelerator strategy is proposed for ultra‐stable aqueous Zn anodes. Selective and precise transport of hydrated Zn(H2O)62+, Zn2+ cations, H2O molecules, and SO42− anions is achieved by in‐plane atomic Ti vacancies and angstrom‐scale interlayer free spacing within the Ti0.87O2 interfacial layer, leading to homogeneous Zn ...

Nature of point defects in monolayer MoS2 and the MoS2/(111)-Au heterojunction
Deposition of MoS2 on (111)-Au alters the electronic properties of MoS2. In this study, we investigate the free-standing MoS2 monolayer and the MoS2~\(111)-Au heterostructure, with and without strain, as well as defects of interest in memristive and neuromorphic applications.

Universal Strategy for Phase‐Selective Synthesis of Monolayer TMDs via Colloidal Chemistry
ABSTRACT Colloidal synthesis of monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) remains challenging regarding uniform size, thickness, and crystalline phase. While significant progress has been made in phase engineering, a unified chemical strategy for on‐demand selection of both 2H and 1T′ phases across multiple TMD systems within a single chemical ...

Large-area Epitaxial Monolayer MoS2
Two-dimensional semiconductors such as MoS2 are an emerging material family with wide-ranging potential applications in electronics, optoelectronics and energy harvesting. Large-area growth methods are needed to open the way to the applications. While significant progress to this goal was made, control over lattice orientation during growth still ...

Barrier‐Assisted Plasma Doping for Spatially Selective Resistance Engineering in MoS2 Transistors
Barrier‐assisted NH3 plasma doping enables damage‐free, spatially selective carrier modulation in monolayer MoS2 transistors. An ultrathin pV3D3/Al2O3 protective‐dielectric stack acts as a chemical filter that allows NHx radicals to reach the MoS2 surface while blocking plasma damage. This process achieves a high electron concentration of 4.3 × 1013 cm−

Achieving Direct Bandgap and Optoelectronic Enhancement in Scalable Stacked MoS2 Monolayers
Near unity photoluminescence quantum yield in monolayer MoS2, makes it an excellent candidate for optoelectronic applications. In contrast, bulk MoS2 experiences a transition from a direct to an indirect bandgap, which diminishes its potential for ...

Ambient effects on electrical characteristics of CVD-grown monolayer MoS2 field-effect transistors
Monolayer materials are sensitive to their environment because all of the atoms are at their surface. We investigate how exposure to the environment affects the electrical properties of CVD-grown monolayer MoS2 by monitoring electrical parameters of MoS2

Direct Growth of 2D Bilayers on Au(111) for Low‐Coercive Sliding Ferroelectricity
Controlled CVD growth of stacking‐defined bilayer ReS2 on Au(111) enables parallel‐stacked bilayers with intrinsic sliding ferroelectricity, a strong piezoelectric response, and an ultralow coercive voltage. Atomic‐resolution imaging and in situ measurements further reveal the decisive role of clean interfaces in achieving low‐barrier ferroelectric ...

The Amorphization of Monolayer MoS2 Induced by Strong Oxygen Plasma Treatment
By strong oxygen plasma treatment on monolayer MoS2, we observe the disappearance of the Raman modes of MoS2. We propose the hypothesis that the state of MoS2 translates from crystal to amorphous after strong oxygen plasma treatment.
