Tip-enhanced photoluminescence of monolayer MoS2 increased and spectrally shifted by injection of electrons

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2023
Using tip-enhanced photoluminescence (TEPL), we investigate micron-size monolayer MoS2 flakes. In a sequence of studies, we apply various voltages between the Ag-coated nano-tip and the MoS2 flakes and observe an intriguing result.

Path‐Decoupled Cation‐Eutaxy III–V van der Waals Memristive Semiconductors for Mitigating the Neuromorphic Accuracy‐Energy Trade‐off

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Path‐decoupled III–V van der Waals memtransistors spatially separate ionic and electronic transport to overcome the conventional trade‐off between accuracy and energy in neuromorphic hardware. Mobile K+ ions in the vdW gaps set a wide conductance window, Gmax/Gmin, while gate‐tunable hole conduction lowers programming energy, enabling reliable ...

Nanoindentation on Monolayer MoS2 Kirigami [PDF]

open access: yesACS Omega, 2019
Mechanical properties of materials can be altered significantly by the ancient art of kirigami. We study the mechanical properties of atomically thin kirigami membranes of MoS2 using molecular dynamics simulations. Nanoindentation simulations are performed to study the mechanical response of rectangular and hexagonal kirigami structures.

CVD Grown Hybrid MoSe2–WSe2 Lateral/Vertical Heterostructures With Strong Interlayer Exciton Emission

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A scalable bottom‐up CVD methodology, based on liquid transition metal salt precursors, is presented for the controlled growth of two high‐quality MoSe2–WSe2 heterostructures (HSs): purely lateral (HS I) and hybrid lateral/vertical (HS II), by simply adjusting precursor concentration.
