Using tip-enhanced photoluminescence (TEPL), we investigate micron-size monolayer MoS2 flakes. In a sequence of studies, we apply various voltages between the Ag-coated nano-tip and the MoS2 flakes and observe an intriguing result.

Nanoindentation on Monolayer MoS2 Kirigami [PDF]
Mechanical properties of materials can be altered significantly by the ancient art of kirigami. We study the mechanical properties of atomically thin kirigami membranes of MoS2 using molecular dynamics simulations. Nanoindentation simulations are performed to study the mechanical response of rectangular and hexagonal kirigami structures.

A scalable bottom‐up CVD methodology, based on liquid transition metal salt precursors, is presented for the controlled growth of two high‐quality MoSe2–WSe2 heterostructures (HSs): purely lateral (HS I) and hybrid lateral/vertical (HS II), by simply adjusting precursor concentration.
