Microstructural and Nanomechanical Characterization of CrCoAlHf/YSZ Multilayer Coatings Deposited by DC/RF Magnetron Sputtering

A dense Cr/CoAlHf/YSZ multilayer coating was successfully deposited on Inconel 718 by DC/RF magnetron sputtering at 300°C. The coating exhibits nanocrystalline stability, strong interlayer adhesion, enhanced hardness, and excellent chemical integrity, making it suitable for advanced high‐temperature aerospace applications.
