Monolithic zirconia: indications and properties: literature review
Ultimamente as restaurações cerâmicas estão sendo cada vez mais utilizadas, dentre elas, a zircônia monolítica é uma das opções. É um material que está ganhando mais destaque devido as melhoras na propriedade óptica aliada às suas excelentes propriedades

Use of monolithic zirconia for fabrication of all-ceramic crowns eliminates several shortcomings of layered zirconia crowns. Long-term success of restorations highly depends on the marginal fit. The crown thickness is among the factors that affect the marginal integrity. Meanwhile, reduced thickness of crowns has several advantages such as preservation

Nonthermal plasma approaches for combating implant‐associated infections: A compendious review
Implant‐associated infections pose serious clinical challenges. Non‐thermal plasma (NTP) modifications overcome this bottleneck in distinct ways relative to traditional sterilization methods. Gas‐phase plasmas generate highly energetic species, UV radiation and reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (RONS), which alter the implant surface properties.

Spectrophotometric examination of monolithic zirconia materials
Introduction: Patients’ demand for perfectly esthetic restorations is unstoppably increasing, however creating naturallooking crowns and FPDs is highly affected by the experience of the dental technician even in the present day. This problem is even more complicated if the abutment is discolored (e.g. obturated).

ABSTRACT Objectives To compare the clinical, biological, and technical outcomes of posterior three‐unit implant‐supported fixed dental prostheses (iFDPs) fabricated from monolithic zirconia (MonoZR) or porcelain‐fused‐to‐metal (PFM). Materials and Methods In this prospective randomized controlled trial, partially edentulous patients requiring a ...

Optical properties of translucent zirconia: A review of the literature
Translucent monolithic zirconia is the newest option of zirconia-based ceramics, which aimed to substitute the opaque classic yttria-stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystal (Y-TZPs) in more demanding esthetic cases.
