Clinical Outcomes After Catheter Ablation in Patients With Structural Heart Disease and Ventricular Fibrillation

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction In patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICM), recurrent VF may be treated with catheter ablation by targeting triggering premature ventricular complexes (PVCs) and/or ventricular scar homogenization. Data on optimal ablation strategies in patients with non‐ischemic cardiomyopathy (NICM) remain limited.

On Strong Monomorphisms and Strong Epimorphisms [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2010
J. Dydak and F. R. Ruiz del Portal defined strong monomorphism and strong epimorphism in procategories. They obtained a useful characterization of them and some results. In this paper, we aim to study these notions further and obtain some properties of them.

Age, growth and sexual dimorphism of the monkeyface prickleback (Cebidichthys violaceus)

open access: yesJournal of Fish Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract Accurate estimates of age, growth and maturation are fundamental to fisheries assessment, conservation and the development of emerging aquaculture species. However, life‐history parameters can vary within species and may be influenced by factors such as sexual dimorphism, which is often poorly quantified in non‐commercial or understudied ...

Evaluation of the Genetic Variation of Cowpea Landraces (Vigna unguiculata) from Western Cameroon Using Qualitative Traits

open access: yesNotulae Scientia Biologicae, 2017
Characterization of the genetic diversity and analysis of the genetic relationship between accessions of a crop species is a key step in breeding superior cultivars. The main objective of the hereby study was to determine the genetic variation between 30

Isolation and Identification of Erysipelothrix sp. in Hybrid Grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus × E. lanceolatus) in Taiwan

open access: yesJournal of Fish Diseases, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In February 2025, a mortality event of unknown aetiology occurred at a hybrid grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus × Epinephelus lanceolatus) aquaculture farm in southern Taiwan, with sporadic daily deaths persisting for a month. Four moribund groupers were collected over three sampling intervals for diagnostic investigation.

Sustained monomorphic ventricular tachycardia: the role of catheter ablation

open access: yes, 2018
Monomorphic ventricular tachycardia (VT) may occur in the presence or absence of structural heart disease. The standard therapy for patients with structural heart disease at high risk of sudden cardiac death due to VT is the implantable cardioverter ...

Climate‐driven niche filtering limits post‐dispersal establishment and genomic introgression in a riverine shrub

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
Integrated biogeographic analysis and macroecological insights reveal that habitat differences drive genetic differentiation Debregeasia orientalis C. J. Chen, a dominant riparian shrub distributed across multiple biodiversity hotspots, and different lineages vary greatly in adaptability to future climate.

Non-invasive diagnostics of monomorphic maculopapular cutaneous mastocytosis

open access: yesRUDN Journal of Medicine
Relevance. Monomorphic maculopapular cutaneous mastocytosis (mMPCM) is a rare and diagnostically challenging form of cutaneous mastocytosis, often mimicking other pigmentary and papular dermatoses.

Intravenous magnesium sulfate for acute termination of sustained monomorphic ventricular tachycardia associated with coronary artery disease

open access: yes, 2000
The efficacy of intravenous magnesium in terminating sustained monomorphic ventricular tachycardia was examined in this study. This therapy was found to be ineffective in aborting monomorphic ventricular tachycardia induced in the electrophysiology ...

Molecular phylogenetic analysis sheds light on the diversity and evolutionary history of the Neotropical and African Triplophyllum (Tectariaceae)

open access: yesJournal of Systematics and Evolution, EarlyView.
We used a molecular approach to resolve the evolutionary lineages of Neotropical Triplophyllum, uncovering that current species circumscriptions are hindered by high morphological homoplasy in indument characters. Our results support the recognition of three new species and provide a necessary neotypification for T.
