Around Operator Monotone Functions [PDF]
We show that the symmetrized product $AB+BA$ of two positive operators $A$ and $B$ is positive if and only if $f(A+B)\leq f(A)+f(B)$ for all non-negative operator monotone functions $f$ on $[0,\infty)$ and deduce an operator inequality. We also give a necessary and sufficient condition for that the composition $f\circ g$ of an operator convex function $

Representable Monotone Operators and Limits of Sequences of Maximal Monotone Operators [PDF]
We show that the lower limit of a sequence of maximal monotone operators on a reflexive Banach space is a representable monotone operator. As a consequence, we obtain that the variational sum of maximal monotone operators and the variational composition of a maximal monotone operator with a linear continuous operator are both representable monotone ...

ADMM for monotone operators: convergence analysis and rates [PDF]
We propose in this paper a unifying scheme for several algorithms from the literature dedicated to the solving of monotone inclusion problems involving compositions with linear continuous operators in infinite dimensional Hilbert spaces.

Weighted modular inequalities for monotone functions
Weight characterizations of weighted modular inequalities for operators on the cone of monotone functions are given in terms of composition operators on arbitrary non-negative functions with changes in weights. The results extend to modular inequalities,

Newton-like Inertial Dynamics and Proximal Algorithms Governed by Maximally Monotone Operators
The introduction of the Hessian damping in the continuous version of Nesterov's accelerated gradient method provides, by temporal discretization, fast proximal gradient algorithms where the oscilla...

Cyclically monotone linear operators [PDF]
A linear operator on a complex Hilbert space H \mathcal {H} is called n n -cyclically monotone if for each sequence x 0 , x 1 , … , x

Symbolic computation with monotone operators [PDF]
The Fenchel conjugate , f * , and the subdifferential , ∂ f , of a function f are two objects of fundamental importance in convex analysis.
