Dualize, Split, Randomize: Toward Fast Nonsmooth Optimization Algorithms
We consider minimizing the sum of three convex functions, where the first one F is smooth, the second one is nonsmooth and proximable and the third one is the composition of a nonsmooth proximable function with a linear operator L.

Receiver operating characteristic curve generalization for non-monotone relationships [PDF]
The receiver operating characteristic curve is a popular graphical method frequently used in order to study the diagnostic capacity of continuous markers. It represents in a plot true-positive rates against the false-positive ones. Both the practical and theoretical aspects of the receiver operating characteristic curve have been extensively studied ...

Abstract theory of variational inequalities with Lagrange multipliers and application to nonlinear PDEs [PDF]
summary:Recently, we established some generalizations of the theory of Lagrange multipliers arising from nonlinear programming in Banach spaces, which enable us to treat not only elliptic problems but also parabolic problems in the same generalized ...

Coupled coincidence point theorems for mixed monotone nonlinear operators
We obtain coupled coincidence and coupled common fixed point theorems for mixed g-monotone nonlinear operators F:X×X→X in partially ordered metric spaces.

Monotone and generalized monotone bifunctions and their application to operator theory [PDF]

This article presents the design, modeling, and characterization of air‐pressure–actuated programmable vibroacoustic metamaterials (PVAMM). The study focuses on leveraging air pressure to dynamically tune resonance frequencies for effective noise attenuation.

Fixed points of generalized e-concave (generalized e-convex) operators and their applications
In this paper, we present the definitions of generalized e-concave operators and generalized e-convex operators, which are the generalizations of e-concave operators and e-convex operators, respectively.

Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

On θ-generalized demimetric mappings and monotone operators in Hadamard spaces
AbstractOur main interest in this article is to introduce and study the class of θ-generalized demimetric mappings in Hadamard spaces. Also, a Halpern-type proximal point algorithm comprising this class of mappings and resolvents of monotone operators is proposed, and we prove that it converges strongly to a fixed point of a θ-generalized demimetric ...
