Exploratory Analysis of Distributional Data Using the Quantile Method
The quantile method transforms each complex object described by different histogram values to a common number of quantile vectors. This paper retraces the authors’ research, including a principal component analysis, unsupervised feature selection using ...

Coarse‐grained (left) and atomistic (right) models of the shape memory polymer ESTANE ETE 75DT3 are shown schematically. The two representations bridge molecular detail and mesoscopic description. Both models capture shape memory behavior, linking segmental mobility and conformational relaxation of anisotropic chains to macroscopic recovery, and ...

amsrpm: Robust Point Matching for Retention Time Aligment of LC/MS Data with R
Proteomics is the study of the abundance, function and dynamics of all proteins present in a living organism, and mass spectrometry (MS) has become its most important tool due to its unmatched sensitivity, resolution and potential for high-throughput ...

A combined experimental–computational framework identifies energy‐dependent laser absorptivity for NiTi in laser powder‐bed fusion, applicable to conduction and transition modes. Single‐track experiments and thermofluid smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulations are coupled through inverse analysis of melt pool geometry.

X‐ray computed tomography reveals how process‐induced defects evolve from green to sintered states in Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF)‐manufactured 17‐4PH stainless steel. Internal porosity, weakest cross‐sections, and fracture locations show strong correlation with tensile performance, demonstrating the potential of computed tomography (CT)‐based ...

Isotone Optimization in R: Pool-Adjacent-Violators Algorithm (PAVA) and Active Set Methods
In this paper we give a general framework for isotone optimization. First we discuss a generalized version of the pool-adjacent-violators algorithm (PAVA) to minimize a separable convex function with simple chain constraints.

SQUAREM: An R Package for Off-the-Shelf Acceleration of EM, MM and Other EM-Like Monotone Algorithms
We discuss the R package SQUAREM for accelerating iterative algorithms which exhibit slow, monotone convergence. These include the well-known expectation-maximization algorithm, majorize-minimize (MM), and other EM-like algorithms such as expectation ...

Stretching the Printability Metric in Direct‐Ink Writing with Highly Extensible Yield‐Stress Fluids
This study introduces “drawability” as a new metric for assessing printability in direct‐ink writing, focusing on gap‐spanning performance and speed robustness. By designing yield‐stress fluids with high extensibility, we demonstrate that extensional strain‐to‐break significantly enhances printability.
