Mooney Viscosity Changes in Freshly Prepared Raw Natural Rubber
Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1953Abstract In the course of investigations carried out in connection with the technical classification of natural rubber, large permanent increases in Mooney viscosity of the order of 30 to 40 units have been observed when freshly prepared raw or masticated rubber is stored under conditions of low relative humidity.

EVALUATION OF THE MOONEY VISCOSITY/CONCENTRATION EQUATION FOR LIQUID-LIQUID EMULSIONS
Chemical Engineering Communications, 1990Abstract Mooney's viscosity equation, originally proposed for concentrated solids in liquid suspensions, has been tested for stable liquid in liquid emulsions. Nine different emulsion systems have been considered. In none of the cases considered, Mooney's equation is found to adequately describe the viscosity/concentration behavior.

Ensemble Correntropy‐Based Mooney Viscosity Prediction Model for an Industrial Rubber Mixing Process
Chemical Engineering & Technology, 2016AbstractThe development of accurate soft sensors for online prediction of Mooney viscosities in industrial rubber mixing processes is a difficult task because the modeling dataset often contains various outliers. A correntropy kernel learning (CKL) method for robust soft sensor modeling of nonlinear industrial processes with outlier samples is proposed.

Development of high Mooney viscosity, homogeneous long-chain branched EPDM
Rubber World, 2014A study was conducted to demonstrate the development of high Mooney viscosity, homogeneous long-chain branched EPDM. It was demonstrated that the design of EPDM for sponge bulb profiles was the most demanding of all applications in automotive weatherstrip.

Abstract It has been customary to assign certain time scales to given polymer processes. For example, the extrusion process is said to occur at a shear rate in the order of some hundred reciprocal seconds and injection molding at some thousand reciprocal seconds or higher.

Abstract Mooney viscosities and thixotropic behavior have been determined for SBR melts containing carbon black and/or ground vulcanizate particles. A composition containing ambiently ground rubber has a higher viscosity than one with cryogenically ground rubber.

Relations between Mooney viscosity relaxation and the macromolecular structure of natural rubber
