Synthesis of NdAlO3 Nanoparticles and Evaluation of the Catalytic Capacity for Biodiesel Synthesis

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2019
Biodiesel synthesis was carried out via heterogeneous catalysis of canola oil with nanoparticles of a mixed oxide based on rare earths. The catalyst synthesis (NdAlO3) was carried out based on the method proposed by Pechini for the synthesis of ...

Bridging Bystander Intervention and Workplace Inclusion: The Critical Role of Perceived Fairness, Support, and Safety

open access: yesJournal of Organizational Behavior, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Bystander intervention is widely assumed to foster workplace inclusion, yet no studies have directly examined this relationship. Through abductive qualitative analysis of 53 interviews across two contrasting organisations—a consulting firm and a remote mine site—we investigate how bystander intervention relates to workplace inclusion for ...

Where Is the Take in Give and Take? A Review of Empathy Effects on Workplace Outcomes for Both Givers and Receivers

open access: yesJournal of Organizational Behavior, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT There is increasing interest in understanding and recognition of the importance of empathy effects at work. However, despite the two‐party nature of empathy, little research has distinguished between empathy‐giving versus empathy‐receiving, or between empathy‐giver versus receiver.

Corrosion‐Protection of T122 Steel Using g‐C3N5‐Embedded Epoxy Coatings

open access: yesMaterials and Corrosion, EarlyView.
Study evaluates g‐C3N5 (CN) reinforced epoxy coatings on T122 steel in NaCl and H2SO4. Electrochemical tests revealed that 2% loading maximizes corrosion resistance by blocking pores and limiting ion diffusion, increasing Rp and Rn. Optimized CN content enhances epoxy coating performance overall system durability material. ABSTRACT Corrosion‐protection

Modeling of Scale-Dependent Bacterial Growth by Chemical Kinetics Approach

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2014
We applied the so-called chemical kinetics approach to complex bacterial growth patterns that were dependent on the liquid-surface-area-to-volume ratio (SA/V) of the bacterial cultures.

Osteoarthritis: An Immuno‐Inflammatory Disease‐Mechanisms of Immune Cell Dysregulation and Potential Therapeutic Strategies

open access: yesMed Research, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the immuno‐inflammatory mechanisms driving the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis (OA), extending beyond the traditional view of OA as a purely degenerative disease to incorporate immune cell infiltration, inflammatory factor release, and the formation of a chronic low‐grade inflammatory microenvironment.

Leveraging Public Transit for Robotic Deliveries: A Column Generation Approach

open access: yesNaval Research Logistics (NRL), EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) are small, electric, wheeled vehicles that operate at pedestrian speeds. In the last‐mile delivery service considered in this study, a fleet of AMRs is deployed across multiple recharging depots within a service area, from which they depart to perform point‐to‐point deliveries. We consider an operational setting
