Lilrb4a Suppression Reprograms Microglia to Mitigate APOE4‐Associated Amyloid Plaques and Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy in Association With a PPAR‐Linked Pro‐Clearance State

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Targeting Lilrb4a in Apolipoprotein E4 (APOE4)‐associated Alzheimer's disease (AD) reprograms microglia toward a beneficial, phagocytic state. Genetic deletion or antisense inhibition of Lilrb4a suppresses p‐SHP2/NF‐κB/STAT1 signaling, restores PPAR‐linked lipid and energy metabolism, and reduces amyloid plaque burden and cerebral amyloid angiopathy ...

Oxygen Vacancy‐Enriched Platinum Single‐Atom Nanozyme Wrapped in Nanoislands: Unlocking Catalytic Activity and Reprogramming Redox Microenvironment for Osteonecrosis Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CeO2‐x/Pt single‐atom nano‐island is constructed via low‐temperature reduction, featuring abundant oxygen vacancies and an island–sea structure. It delivers outstanding multi‐enzyme‐mimetic activity and ROS‐scavenging efficiency. Density functional theory reveals optimized electronic structures and reaction pathways.

Morphometric description of the Boric Arabian horse mare families

open access: yesAgroReS
The Boric Arabian horse has a long tradition of breeding in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) dating back to 1884. The Borike Stud Farm, which ceased operations in 2018, played a significant role in breeding this population of horses. Today, the Boric Arabian horse is preserved in BiH thanks to private breeding. The aim of this research was

Engineered Exosomal miR‐146a‐5p Reprograms BMSC Fate and Restores Mitochondrial Homeostasis in Glucocorticoid‐Induced Osteonecrosis of Femoral Head

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Exosomal miR‐146a‐5p is identified as a pivotal regulator in steroid‐induced osteonecrosis. Its reduction activates NF‐κB signaling, compromises mitophagy, and disrupts mitochondrial bioenergetics, resulting in autophagic disequilibrium. Engineered exosomes delivering miR‐146a‐5p reinstate mitochondrial function, augment oxidative phosphorylation and ...

Wavelength‐Dependent Photobiomodulation Regulates Macrophage Polarization via Mitochondrial Dynamics and Metabolic Reprogramming

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Light wavelength encodes distinct macrophage fates through mitochondrial and metabolic remodeling. Red 625 nm irradiation induces glycolysis, mitochondrial fission, and M1 polarization, whereas near‐infrared 850 nm irradiation promotes fatty acid oxidation, mitochondrial fusion, and M2 polarization.

Single‐Cell Reveal GALNT7‐Dependent Ferroptosis Suppression as a Mechanism of Immunotherapy Resistance in Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Integrated clinical and mechanistic analyses identify GALNT7 as a ferroptosis‐suppressive regulator associated with immunotherapy resistance in non‐small cell lung cancer. GALNT7 depletion promotes lipid peroxidation, mitochondrial dysfunction, and ferroptosis, enhances CD8+ T‐cell activation and IFN‐γ production, and sensitizes tumors to PD‐1 blockade,

Additional notes to the morphology of Hyperaspis pseudopustulata Mulsant, 1853 (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Insect Biodiversity and Systematics, 2021
The ladybird Hyperaspis pseudopustulata Mulsant, 1853 was recently reported as the 13th species of the genus Hyperaspis of Iran. Because of the lack of sufficient details in the original description, here we provide more details of morphological features

ZER1 Restrains Pressure Overload‐Induced Cardiac Remodeling by Targeting DVL2 for Gly/N‐Degron‐Dependent Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pressure overload suppresses cardiomyocyte ZER1, weakening CRL2Zer1‐mediated DVL2 degradation and allowing DVL2 accumulation. Elevated DVL2 activates CaMKII‐HDAC4‐MEF2C signaling, drives fetal gene reactivation, and promotes pathological remodeling.

Computer-morphometric description of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma cells

open access: yesClinical anatomy and operative surgery, 2014
Planimetric and densitometric characteristics of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma cells were detected in work using direct computer morphometry method. Significant differences between area, perimeter, coefficient of shape and optical dimension of malignant cells and their nuclei in different tumor compartments were shown. Absence of correlation between
